What You Can Expect

Day Tour: Discovering Chongqing

Day Tour: Discovering Chongqing

After hotel pickup in Chongqing, your tour starts with a visit to Chongqing People’s Auditorium, which was constructed in the 1950s. Covering 269,098 square feet (25,000 sq meters), it features four buildings: the main auditorium, south wing, north wing, and east wing, depicting the differences in styles of traditional Chinese palace architecture.

Next, head to Ci Qi Kou (Porcelain Village), also known as Ciqikou Old Town, for a glimpse of old Chongqing. Known for making porcelain during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the area is now home to tea bars, art studios, embroidery shops, and folk opera, which you can explore as you walk around to learn a bit about the region's arts and crafts.

Then visit your last destination, Hongya Dong (or Hongya Cave) to see examples of Bayu architecture and shop for souvenirs and gifts, if you wish. You have free time here to stroll around before return transportation to your hotel in the afternoon. If you prefer, you can be dropped off at another location in the Chongqing city center.

Nice driver and Tour guide, however over paid all the way, we did not go into any paid site to justify the expensive tour.
