Brilliant experience. Very sad to see this beautiful city trying to get back on track after the big earthquake.
The trip was awesome. It's my first time riding a tramp and my friend and I really enjoy the sightseeing. The tramp driver and conductor were very friendly and they help us a lot. Love them very much.
For new visitors, here what you should do when you book the sightseeing pass...take tramp from any station we took from Rollestone Ave. - station No. 12 and go to the first station. There, you need to collect all the ticket and passes Tramp, Gondola shuttle bus ticket, Avon River Punting and Caterpillar ride -botanical Garden from the counter ask the conductor, if you can't find it. If you are already near to one of the place we were at Botanical garden, they don't hesitate to let you ride without the pass, the Caterpillar driver will only ask for printed version of the pass she is a lovely lady, thank you for the wonderful chat and info. We missed the River punting since it was raining heavily and we didn't have transport to go there after we came back to Christchurch from Dunedin. So plan it carefully if your are going to go to all the activities since you can discuss the time with front desk every activity end at 5pm including the tramp.
But all and all, I recommended this pass and we really enjoy the our stay at Christchurch.
absolutely no problem for any of these vendors to give us our vouchers for all four. It is highly recommended to do all these in this deal/package.
Very nice tram. Unfortunately, the wheather was no good and we could not do the punting on the Avon. Thanks Viator for the refund.
This is a must for Christchurch visitors. It gives the present condition of the city and reflects the 'can do attitude and optimism that will lead to a beautiful city. It allows visitors to get on and off at tourist attractions, and drivers and conductors are friendly, informative and go out of their way to show tourists what is going on.
This was a very good value for the money as we only had one full day2 nights in Christchurch. We arrived late in the day via the train the night before the earthquake in November and left early the morning after. The gondola did not start operating until later in the day for safety checks, but we able to go and enjoy great views of the city and its surroundings. Having experienced an earthquake firsthand, we were really ready for a slow-paced, laid-back day, and the punt ride delivered, as did the caterpillar ride thrush Botanic Gardens. Both guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our hop-on-hop-off tour was not as long as we would have liked, but we were late in the day getting on. Again, the driver was well-informed and very helpful, as we were the last two on the tram as it ended for the day. Wish we hah had more time in Christchurch, but were covering as much of this beautiful country as possible in the 2 weeks we had.
An easy way to get around the center of Christchurch. The trams, we rode on, were old motor cars from the US. Motor man gave a good overview of the areas we passed. Make sure to visit Re:START Mall quaint shopping and eating in businesses housed in shipping containers, Canterbury Museum, Antigua Boat Sheds go punting on the Avon river, and transfer at the museum to the Gondola shuttle transfers you to gondola ride which allows tremendous views of the city. Admission for the latter two are included in the Pass fee.
I have been living in Christchurch for 2 and a half years now. Learnt a lot
Best value for the money. The punt ride was the best and the driverpunter was very informative. The museum was very good and really gave a great overview of the country and history.
This tour was great, the pass really allows to see a vast part of Christchurch. Seeing the rebuild after the Earthquake was great to see a city rebuild from such tragic events.
Great way to see the city. Shame we didn't have more time. One day not enough do all

Good way to see Wellington ... tour guides were very good!
We didn't get full value out of this but that was due to time constraints and weather. The tram was a great way of seeing the city and the drivers were very knowledgeable. The gondola gives amazing views of Christchurch
The company screwed up our tour. We were not met, were very confused and finally had to pay a city bus to take us into Christ Church and pay for that also. The only time we had left was to see the Botannical Gardens which were lovely. All our other sites were eliminated due to time constraints to get back to our ship. We also had to pay our return. We were very disappointed after paying in full with this tour.
Great punt ride with informative driver. Museum was truly informative and provide a good view into the history and culture of the area.
