This was one of the best wine tours I've taken in my life, and made for a nice half day afternoon tour, and there were only three other people on the excursion that day.
Our tour guide, Sue, was very knowledgeable of the different wines as well as sharing info about the varieties, general history of the area, and the growing of the wine grapes.
We made a trip to a total of four different wineries and some of the grounds, like the last one we visited, Pegasus Bay, were just beautiful and this particular winery had what I think was one of the best tasting wines of the day, and was called 'Finale'. It was VERY sweet and tasty but only wished they would sell this wine overseas.
I think near the end of the tour I consumed close to twenty glasses of wine from all the wineries but had a lot of fun and the weather was just great with a nice temperature and a light breeze.
I also liked how with most of the Viator tours, they keep the groups small and thus, it feels more personalized versus a big group of 20.
If you like wine tours, and are in Christchurch, I highly recommend taking this tour! A great day and alof of fun!

Nice little tour of four Vineyards. We opted to not go for the lunch although I probably wish we had, but all the Vineyards we visited were excellent. Each one we were supposed to try five different wines, but in each one we went to they ended up giving us more and tailored the choices around our individual tastes.
My friend and I are definitely not wine connoisseurs, but we were treated respectfully and told a lot of interesting facts about the vineyards, the wines and the wine making processes.

One of the Vineyards Waipara Hills we had an exceptional guide, who I think was called Dennis. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and he helped discover our own tastes and despite being in a group, show us each different wines dependant on what we liked.

None of the places we visited pressurised us into buying anything, but we all bought various different wines anyway. The wines were very good. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Did four wineries option: we ended up being the only two on the tour! Hank our guide was very informative (and patient). Definitely get some generous pours in -- especially at Waipara Hills which was my favorite! More white than red options.
