What You Can Expect

Cinque Terre Sailing Day Trip from La Spezia

Enjoy a day sailing around the Cinque Terre coast

Start this fun day trip at sea by making your way to the port in La Spezia and meet the expert skipper who will be maneuvering your boat through the seas in Liguria for the next seven hours. Hop on the boat and sail away into the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as the Gulf of Poets because of the legendary scribes who have put their stamp on their area. From a distance, see the islands of Palmaria and Tino.
After a while, head west along the coastline of Cinque Terre to see the famous five villages that hug the rocky shore: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. As the boat cuts through the shimmering sea, marvel at the colorful picturesque villages, some of which can't be accessed by automobile, which means the view from the boat is the best way to see them.
Once you reach Varnazza, sit down on the boat to indulge in a typical Ligurian lunch that may included focaccia, anchovies, cured meats and other delights (see sample menu below).
Continue sailing along the shoreline and even take the reins for a while as the skipper offers some valuable sailing tips. The trip finishes when you disembark back in La Spezia in the early evening.

We had an excellent time on the day sail. Sadly for us there was no wind, so we had to motor the whole time but the weather, the views, and the boat all made up for it! Well worth it and a great way to see the area from the sea side! Lunch was great, facilities were easy to find, and jumping into the sea in a unique place was amazing.

Although we had someone become seasick on the boat and it is hard to give someone ill their space when they are not well, it was a great trip. Nicely paced trip with good provision of information e.g. historical and modern insights and EXCELLENT lunch. Not so much a snorkeling adventure when we went a bit too cool and the current too strong, but it was really nice and we truly enjoyed Andreas.

Our day trip was spectacular because we had a friendly and knowledgable captain. Marino was the perfect host to our adventurous group and we had the best day of our entire trip in Italy sailing with him!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. We got to relax and see some beautiful coastline! It was absolutely breathtaking and the view from the boat is so different than when on land.

A very nice trip with a pleasant captain who made a fantastic lunch. It is however weather dependent and if the wind is too high the waves will make Cinque Terre unreachable. Despite that the trip was very delightful.

What a wonderful way to see Cinque Terre. Why would you hike in the hot Italian summer, when you can relax on the deck of a beautiful yacht instead?? We sailed along the coast and saw all six towns - and the view from the water is amazing! - then came back, had lunch on board, and stopped in Vernazza. We went for a swim, then went to shore. We only had about 45mins in the town, but that was enough to get a gelato and do a quick wander through. All in all, a beautiful day. If you want sailing experience though, this is not for you - our skipper did all of the things, while we enjoyed the view! Definitely recommended.

Excellent experience! Given the previous reviews I made sure to ask about swimming and took my own snorkel gear. I have a feeling we wouldn and #39;t have stopped without someone asking. We swam about 150m from shore, AMAZING WATER! And AMAZING LUNCH!!

We had a fantastic time on the Cinque Terre Sailing Day Trip. We met some great people that joined us on the boat. Lucca the skipper was interesting and accommodating. We had the run of the boat. Seeing the Cinque Terre from the water was an experience to remember. We had a lovely lunch with wine/champagne. A few sprinkles on our return trip didn't dampen our day. Would highly recommend.
