we were picked up at 7.30am and took a 2 hour ride to galle from mount lavinia hotel. the tour guide cum driver was really good and informative and told us alot about the things we drove past. we first were taken to the stilt fishermen to take pictures. then to jungle beach. it was a steep climb down and up but it was a beautiful and untouched beach. we were then driven to the other end to see the fortress. after that was lunch at a place by the beach. it was a set meal with appetiser, main course and dessert. drinks not included of course. after lunch, we were brought to the tsunami museum and mask factory. we then took a boat ride through the mangroves and saw animals such as monitor lizard, birds etc. the boat also took us to cinnamon island where they showed us how they grew it and how they used it. you could buy cinnamon products there too. optional - can do the fish spa . after the boat ride, we went to the spice garden to learn what they grew and the medicinal value of it. lastly we went to the turtle hatchery to see the turtles at different ages and different breeds. we then drove 2hrs back and reached our hotel at about 7-8pm

Our driver was very friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. But it was apparent that he was new to this tour and continually had to stop to ask for directions and had trouble understanding us. The itenary was good but we felt we missed out on a bit due to his inexperience.
