Frederiksborg castle was amazing. Highly recommend. Next time I come back, I'm going to dedicate a whole day to that castle alone.
Fabulous tour getting out of the city to see the beautiful countryside and castles. They were spectacular, took many photos. Smooth drive and great commentary. A must do tour.
A really ingesting tour with an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it.
Very good tour. Of course, we would have liked more time at each location. The bus organized a very good lunch to be eaten on the bus, which saved time. I would always recommend Viator.
A terrific way to see the castles of the area. Nice tour bus with an extremely knowledgeable guide!
Wonderful tour of the Kronborg and Frederiksborg Castles, our guide was very knowledgeable. We had a very nice bus drive along the coast and even left the route to explore other sites. By saying that, I thought we were rushed along to fast not giving us any shopping time for souvenirs. Also, the sandwich we bought was not worth what you paid for it.
The tour, our guide and the driver were perfect! The tour did not miss a beat and we covered so much and so much territory. This was one of the best Viator Tours that I have been on. Without our guide we would have missed out on so much history, tradition and customs over the ages.
Awesome tour, beat way to see all the castles and the scenery was beautiful.
A perfect tour a perfect day loved seeing the countryside of Denmark as well as the castles!!!!!!
This was a nice way to see the area outside of Copenhagen and the castles were very interesting. Our tour guide and the bus driver were both quite knowledgable with nice personalities as well. Sorry, I forgot their names. Instead of stopping for lunch to save time, they offered some sandwiches for purchase. They were very good. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour was absolutely amazing! Teddy was our tour guide and his was extremely helpful with any questions that we had. Once aboard the comfortable coach, you are given headphones to listen to a recorded guide of the surrounding countryside during the ride to Kronberg Castle. Your lunch order is placed for sandwiches made by a local restaurant at your expense and eaten on board the bus after the Kronberg tour, they are very yummy! My husband has an egg allergy and they were very accommodating in adjusting his order for us. Once at Kronberg you have the option of touring on your own or with your tour guide. I recommend going with the tour guide. Teddy had a wealth of information about each of our castle tours and he had a good sense of humor to add to the experience. A quick stop at Fredensborg Castle was next to take pictures of the royal family's summer home and to have an ice cream if you like. The final stop of the day was Frederiksborg Castle. We chose to follow Teddy again for his guided tour of this splendid 17th Century castle. The guided tours last approximately 1-1/2 hours each and can be a challenge for anyone who has trouble with stairs. It is a good idea to wear good walking shoes. If you are traveling with an elderly person, this tour is great because the bus provides a good time to rest in between castle stops. My family really enjoyed this tour and we would highly recommend this amazing way to get a glimpse of Danish history.
Loved the coastal tour, the Danish Riviera, and the 3 castles, especially Hamlet's Castle. Great guide, Teddy, also! Copenhagen is great, but getting out of the city and seeing the countryside and coast and castles was great!
Nice views of countryside going to the castles. Learned quite a bit about Danish royalty.
An extremely enjoyable day! Our Guide and Driver were very professional, courteous and informative. The castles and countryside sights were unforgettable. Highly recommended!
Teddy and Per were great. Wonderful country drive on the Danish Riviera. Gorgeous. With much commentary and a couple of great side trips that our group enjoyed. Teddy was excellent on his historical perspective in the castles.
I do think it would be helpful to have the departure point easiertofind
The tour was excellent, scenic ride and enjoyed visiting the castles, lots to see. Be prepared to walk. Our guide was informative but was rushing, would have preferred if they distributed audio guides so we could follow the narrative. As soon as she arrived in a particular area she started to describe the room before waiting for the whole group to join her. We visited 3 castles in all, 2 in detail and the 3rd just for a photo opportunity. Although the tour was supposed to be 6.5 hrs, we felt that the last castle we visited, Frederiksborge, was not allocated enough time, we skipped through and many areas were not visited, but you still get the sense of history. One negative aspect was finding the location of the departure point, directions to the departure point was misleading, by pure luck we found the bus as no signs anywhere indicating where the bus would be located. Opportunity to buy lunch, which was a good sandwich, and coffee/water was only provided on the bus and no indication in the description of the tour that would be the case, so make sure that you take your own drink or even pack your own lunch.
A great experience - tour guide Teddy gave us good information and insight into the castle history
The group was not too large so it was easy to hear him and ask questions
I recommend doing this tour for sure :
Is a really good day out to see some of the Danish countryside you normally wouldn't. Pleasant drive north on the beach road observing some of Denmark's best holiday villa's as well! The castles themselves are spectacular and are quite the intriguing pieces of history. Definitely recommended! Have some danish krona/applicable credit card if you wish to order a sandwich/drink after the first castle stop.
We had limited time in Denmark and wanted to see more than just Copenhagen. This tour was perfect. We got to experience the country side and coastal architecture, as well as visit the stunning Frederiksborg castle and a couple of others thrown in for good measure. Our driver was informative and hilarious. The only downside was having to stay with the group rather than go and explore on your own.
The tour was very good. Not too long of a day although we visited two castles and made a stop at another for viewing from outside. Pickup time was 10:00 which was a relief as some tours I have been on leave very early. The bus was comfortable and clean there was a good commentary you could listen to by earphones. Not many opportunities to purchase food, so bring your own or take advantage of the offer to order a sandwich on the bus. I liked our tour guide Christian. Note that the tour does include guided tours and admission to both castles - that was not clear up front to me. Or you are given the option of wandering on your own once you are inside. I would warn that there is A LOT of walking and stairs, so if mobility is an issue, research this tour carefully.
