Wonderful day trip to Grenada with David

star-5mscole
Granada Day Trip from Seville | Feb 2020
When David picked us up at our hotel at 7:00 in the morning, we discovered, to our surprise, that we were the only ones on our day trip from Saville to Grenada, and that the trip was custom tailored to our needs and desires. (We had assumed that we would be part of a small group.) The trip included admission to a three and a half hour, fully guided tour of the Alhambra (with Manuel), this part of the trip within a larger but still quite manageable group. There are four different sites within the Alhambra, and a lot of information to digest. Reading up before (and after) is probably a good idea. After the Alhambra tour, we had a light lunch with David, and then we went to see the picturesque neighbourhoods around the Alhambra and some spectacular views of the palaces. The trip from Seville to Grenada and back takes about two and a half hours each way. This is a rather long ride, but David was perfect company, telling us as about Spain, about Andalusia, and about himself as we wanted to know, but without becoming overly loquacious--as some guides can be. We would highly recommend this tour (and David) to anyone visiting Andalusia.

Granada Day Trip from Seville | Feb 2020
Our driver/guide Alex was a wonderful travel companion and we thought he was a 5. He had us eat lunch in a wonderful restaurant just outside the Alhambra entrance In retrospect we would have spent more time at the Alhambra and Generalife and skipped the Albaicín tour - not that much to see there. Again, Alex was excellent.

Granada day trip, the amazing visit to the legendary alhambra palace

star-5hmosli
Granada Day Trip from Seville | Dec 2019
We moved from Seville real early in the morning. It was still dark, even one hour while we were on the road. We arrived in Granda with our driver David Martin Alonso, an extremely nice person who spoke English fluently. He took good care of us throughout the trip. Once we entered Alhambra skipping all lines we had a nice tour guide. The details of this very special Islamic palace were explained to us while we were stunned of the beauty and the surroundings. It was pity to learn that only one third of the majestic palace was saved. The rest was either destroyed or looted. Even though what we saw was a clear witness of the unmatched civilization of the moslems when they lived in Andalucia. Spain is blessed to preserve such Islamic monuments in Granada and Cordoba and many other places as they ate major touristicattractions.

Italica 2-Hour Private Guided Tour from Seville | Nov 2019
The tour of Italica was interesting and Alex was informative. He was on time and obviously knew the history and layout of this Roman treasure. The weather was not ideal yet the two hours flew by as if was a more pleasant sunny day. Highly recommend Alex and Italica!!

Granada Day Trip from Seville | Nov 2019
Best day trip ever. Our tour guide David was on time, the ride was very nice and smooth. The actual tour was amazing. David also brought us to a very nice restaurant for lunch, we had one of our best meals for the entire trip. Granada is a place you can't miss, and this tour is the way to see Granada.

Great day seeing the true seville

Cooking Class in Traditional Andalusian Housing | Oct 2019
David picked us up at 11:00 and the day began. Shopping in Triana at the market for our lunch and a short walking tour. We had visited ourselves the day before and didn’t really understand the history of the area. Then we went to the home of a great couple and we were welcomed in as part of the family. Even with a language barrier we were able to understand and David translated as needed. We cooked with the couple and even went across the street to see the local bakery. Gazpacho and pork cheeks and frites with wine and beer. Definitely an experience we won’t forget.

Don’t miss the Alhambra

Granada Day Trip from Seville | Oct 2019
We had a private driver from Seville to Granada, expensive but worth every cent if you can fit it in the budget. The driver was an excellent driver and knowledgeable about the towns and countryside. In Granada we had a private guide to the Alhambra, the Nasrid Palaces. Again, thoughtful, knowledgeable and interesting. Our driver joined us again for the return journey and we visited a number of scenic and historic sites on the way back to Seville. It is a full day journey but in a very comfortable vehicle.

White Villages: Private Guided Day Trip from Seville | Sep 2019
We had a superb day of travel along serpentine roads of the white villages. The views were great. Especially enjoyed the side stop to an early fortress on the way to Zahara. We were impressed with her knowledge of local history and tradition. Loved the bull ring and Ronda. Loved Grazalema and the meal there. Just a perfect day

Evening of Flamenco

star-3ou81too
Granada Sacromonte Caves Flamenco Show with Albayzin Walking Tour | Jul 2019
Our evening was Ok. We had a dinner that was Ok, it could of been better and the seats for the Flamenco show also could of been better. My wife and i were crammed right next to the band, which included the loud clapping hands of the band members, which was annoying being inches away from them. If our seats were alittle bit further from the band, then it would be a much better experience. The entertainers put on a great show! its just unfortunate that we were crammed right next to them.

Fascinating tour of Roman ruins (and Game Of Thrones set) with an Excellent tour guide!

star-5Venture257518
Italica 2-Hour Private Guided Tour from Seville | May 2019
We heard that there's a historic part of Sevilla that was used for filming Game of Thrones, and decided to go see. We booked this tour to ensure we learned the history of Sevilla, and some modern info as well. Thanks to our guide, we enjoyed the tour and learned a lot as well. Our guide was easy to understand (we speak English and just a little Spanish) and a very nice guy. He obviously knows the history of Sevilla well, he even has a college degree in history. Our guide made the tour so interesting, that we forgot about the weather (hot!) and took lots of pictures. And he was nice enough to give us a ride back to the city (not included in the tour). Sevilla is a lovely, authentic Spanish city with a rich history. We can't wait to go back again, and I would definitely recommend taking advantage of a tour like this, especially with this guide.

Flamenco Show in Seville | Oct 2018
Brilliant for granddaughter as first visit. Shame that it is so much a coach destination, intimacy lost. Staff were very helpful, we got there too early, but gave us comfortable viewing place. Amusing watching the other guests arrive, some changing seats over and over, one stubborn guy refused to move but staff handled it well.

Fabulous night at the caves!

Granada Sacromonte Caves Flamenco Show with Albayzin Walking Tour | Oct 2018
Our evening to watch the Flamenco dancing at at The Sacramento Caves was thrilling. The dancers were bursting with energy, colour and natural technique. Watching their feet was mesmerising as they tapped faster and faster their feet became a blur!!We also enjoyed a traditional meal at the venue, it was extremely satisfying in both flavour and quantity. We did, however, have to seek advise from our Hotel receptionist as to how to get to the venue. The meeting point times were not correct for our booking, which made us concerned that the booking had not gone through. A good job we did, otherwise we would not arrived in time for the meal.
