Corfu - new to you too??

Our original bike tour of Corfu was cancelled due to bad weather. I found this group on Viator and contacted them to see if they could fit us in for a last minute booking. Going around in Corfu

We were taken around Corfu in a very spacious mini van by our guide cum driver Feodore who was very knowledgable and keen to talk about Corfu. The only negative i would probably point out is that the driver had an airport pick right after our tour.... so it felt a bit rushed towards the end.

Expensive but worth the money

We did the tour at the start of our 10 day stay to get a proper orientation, see some sites and get some top tips. Although expensive the tour did just that. Our knowledgeable, friendly and all round lovely tour guide Sophia customised the trip for our needs balancing seeing things (that would benefit from her knowledge) to pointing out others we should visit on our own during our stay based on the interest of the family as well as helping us with directions to places we have booked in advance. All the time giving us useful hints about what to do and what to avoid. Money well spend as it set us up perfectly.

I bad tour guide can make or break your impressions of a city.

It all boils down to who your guide is. Unfortunately for us, it was a nice lady but one who should not be a tour guide. She imposed her agenda which was lacking all the well documented important sites to hers which was to stop, sit, socialize about her own personal life rather than what we came to see. She could not walk and talk at the same time and wasted so much of ours that I had to finally push the tour along. I told her at the beginning the key points for us to visit was the Palace, the Old City and the beautiful Paleookastritsa beach. She tried to talk us out of each one. I insisted and she revealed her age (72) and that she needed to go slow and rest. We only had half a day to enjoy this city from our ship and choose a private tour to make the most of the time. That did not work out with her (Angela) but the driver was great, he was perfectly ontime and had the AC cranked up, the vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter) clean and ready to go. We are thankful to him.

I really enjoyed the tour. Wafa was my tour guide and she was great showing me around the town of Corfu. I learned so much about this beautiful island in such a short time. I recommend this tour when you arrive to understand the culture. Very nice tour!!

Travelling with 2 young children (5 and 2) we were very grateful to have the guidance of Sophia who advised us on how we could efficiently plan our day around activities that would suit both us and them. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and took time to speak with our 5-year-old daughter frequently, telling her the tales of Greek myths and keeping her engaged and interested so we could enjoy taking in the sights and scenery too! Her last recommendation for a spot of late lunch on a hillside overlooking Paleokastritsa was one of our favourite moments of the holiday - the views were stunning! Thank you Sophia, and to Costus too, for being a fabulous driver and entertaining (putting up with!) our daughter over lunch, who took a real shine to him! :-)

The best possible one-day tour of the island!

We scheduled this as an excursion from our day in port with the Norwegian Star. Christina was our driver, and she absolutely went above and beyond in showing us the highlights of Corfu. Beyond that, she was able to suggest a spot to eat lunch once the tour was complete. We were racing against the clock as a storm was forecasted to hit the area a couple of hours after our arrival. She helped us map out a plan to hit as many spots as we could before the weather turned, and it worked out perfectly. She was engaging, professional, and knowledgeable. If at all possible I suggest requesting her when you make your reservation.

We had uncertain weather so had not planned out our day in advance . Christina helped us put together a day that met our interests and included a few stops where the locals hang out. One day is not enough for Corfu but if you want eating, shopping, history, vista or beach/ boating.. it’s there for you

We had a great experience, I recommend this company. Gil was professional and knowledgeable and we enjoyed great conversations with him. He also had a lot of great recommendations that worked out for us. We had a toddler with us and there was both a toddler and infant seat in the car. Great Way to see Corfu

Our driver took us off the beaten path to visit a monastery and to a lovely cafe high up on the hill with spectacular views. We enjoyed coffees and a delicious Nutella waffle while snapping photos of the scenery. Then he took us to a great vantage point to see Mouse Island and an up close view of planes landing over the water. He also took into Old Town and hooked us up with an authentic restaurant for good Greek food. We never would have found it otherwise. Great tour!

We started out with a Achilleion palace, then chilled on a beach and headed to old fortress. I highly recommend a private tour its so nice not being on a bus with lots of people.
