Overall, a very intimate tour. It's worth it simply to see the world's largest pot still. The whisky tasting is fun to watch at the end, and you will definitely learn a lot about the history of Jameson. The tour guides are fun and appear to enjoy their jobs. Bottling and labeling your own Jameson at the end of the tour, about 80 Euros 100 after tax, but you have a chance to reclaim taxes is a nice bonus because it's a fairly distinct and stronger batch of whiskey. You also have the option of buying a bottle as a gift for a friend/relative who visits the distillery in the future, so you can reserve it in their name and leave them a message. Overall, a nice experience that doesn't eat up too much time.
Very informative tour given by our guide, Maria. She was very knowledgeable. This is a must do tour while visiting the County Cork area of Ireland.
Great tour, including a tour guide, and educational experience !
Excellent and informative tour walking through the various steps involved in making this high quality product. The site is next door to the more modern facility they now use to distill Jameson, but is an excellent way of seeing how their whiskey was made in years past. The buildings are gorgeous examples of older architecture and the sample at the end was fantastic. Guide Rory was friendly and well-versed in the history and product.
Make room on you bucket list for this tour. This one of your must-do activities while in Ireland! It was better than the Guinness Storehouse tour. A very enjoyable visit!
Tour was informative, fun and not too long either. We also added the tasting with the higher quality whiskeys at the end which really rounded out the experience. If you like Jameson, you'll like this tour.
Great tour! It was really interesting on how they produced Jameson without technology.
This was a great tour. Highly recommended if your tour brings you through county Cork, and you enjoy or can at least appreciate whiskey. Very accessible location, and is within walking distance of plenty of little shops and restaurants, plus pubs of course if you want lunch or happy hour after your tour.
The tour was comprehensive without being too technical. The process of making and the history of Jameson was explained and the walking tour not difficult. We appreciate the courteous and knowledgeable staff.
Great tour. More walking than the Dublin tour. Got to ring the bell! Whoohoo!
