Maximize your time in the beautiful city of Cork on an enriching full-day shore excursion to Blarney Castle and other historical highlights. Greet your courteous guide at Cork Harbour and travel through splendid Irish countryside to the ancient structure of Blarney Castle. Gain free admission to the 13th-century landmark and kiss the world-renowned Blarney Stone for good luck. Return to Cork for a panoramic coach tour of the city’s sights; visit the charming town of Kinsale; and make a brief stop in Cobh, famed for being the departure point of the ill-fated Titanic, before returning to Cork Harbour.
We did not kiss the Blarney Stone and opted instead not to stand on line for 2 hours but instead saw all the gardens and had lunch a a small cafe on the grounds and enjoyed ourselves so much more.
The gardens at Blarney Castle are worth the trip. The one tree is like nothing I have ever seen. I would suggest , spend more time in the garden than trying to get up to the Blarney stone. The little village and shop near the Castle make for a very nice setting. This tour far exceeded my expectations.. .
We had a Paddy Wagon tour here also. We can not say enough about this tour company.
Perfect tour for this area
Another great trip. We didn't wait in the line to kiss the blarney stone not worth it....., but the gardens and hikes through the woods were fantastic. Don't miss the short hike to the fern garden! We were sure that little gnomes were going to come out of the ferns at any moment. It was quite a magical feeling and well worth the walk!
Blarney Castle was beautiful worth the trip and the grounds are incredible a must see.
Our guide, Val don't call him Valentine was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and his singing was wonderful. Our cruise ship arrived 5 hours late 11:30. Val see attached photo waited all morning and then decided to modify his timing of the day's activities. We agree with other reviewers to pack a all body pancho. We really wanted to see the Blarney Castle. It is a steep and slightly claustrophobic climb to the top of the Blarney tower 170 steps and very narrow. When we arrived the ticket lines were very long and not moving. However Val our guidemade sure we were among the first at the castle so the wait was not too long. We then onto Kinsale, a small town, Then back to the cruise port. Back to the port where the people in the town of Cork were so friendly. Viator hired Val and his Paddywagon bus company. We have used Viator many times and each time the tour guide is the best there is. I will continue to promote Viator to others. Again Val and Paddywagon helped turn disastrous day the best day of our trip.
We loved this day. It was a particularly rainy day torrential at the castle!! but our guide, Val was so knowledgeable and so entertaining that it was easy to overlook the bad weather. Pack a pancho! It is a steep and slightly claustrophobic climb to the top of the Blarney tower but our guide made sure we were among the first at the castle so the wait was not too long.
Then onto Kinsale, a beautiful view of the countryside and enjoyed this quaint town.
Back to the port where the people in the town of Cork were so friendly. Cork Cobh was our favorite stop in Ireland!
Very scenic and could have spend more time at the Blarney Castle which has a vast grounds. As there were many people queuing for the castle, we didn't manage to get up there. Love the surrounding gardens and landscape.
Our tour guide, Val, was amazing. This was also our second tour by Paddywaggon where their timing to get us out first was on point. I can't recommend them enough for your shore excursions!
Great excursion with an excellent guide. When in Kinsale be sure to try Kitty O se's.
