Mike C. and driver Tommy made this our favourite day on our 12 day cruise.

Paddywagon was waiting for us as we exited the ship. We got out of the port area early and headed straight to Blarney Castle. We were able to get through the castle very quickly compared to others who came later. The grounds are lovely and more to my liking than the castle itself. Beautiful sunny day and our guide was interesting and helpful. Our trip included a very brief visit to Cork - so brief that I barely remember it - and a longer stop at Kinsale, a quite and interesting town to relax in.
Fabulous trip. Great tour guide. Got us up to the castle before all the other tour buses. Had enough time to go up to the top of the castle and walk around the grounds. A fraction of the price of the cruise ship excursion!

One of my favorite days spent in Ireland. Val was an amazing tour quide and helped make our day fun. Super easy for us to get into Blarney Castle, and spending time in Cork and Kinsale was a wonderful full day.
Gavin was amazing!!! So funny, full of stories, great information AND he drove that bus like it was a small car!! First stop was Blarney Castle with instructions from Gavin to go directly to Kiss the Blarney Stone if we wanted to avoid long waits. We did and were so glad we didn't stop to wander around first. After the stone, we did get ample time to wander the grounds of Blarney Castle and they were amazing!! Lunch break in Kinsale which was lovely I highly recommend the Fish Chowder at Kitty O'Sea's. A short visit in Cork City and then back to ship with a little time to wander around in Cobh before the ship left. A very scenic port.
This was one of the best tours taken on the whole British Isles Tour. It was done by a guy named Val with Paddywagon, and he made it the best day ever. Book with them if you can on any tours. They were far superior to the other ones in Ireland. He was entertaining and knowledgeable.
This was a great tour led by Les. It was at least half the price of a tour that Princess offered. Whether by luck or good planning, we arrived at the Blarney Castle early and we were albe to climb the stairs to the Blarney stone with no wait. The rest of the tour was also good. Would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable, he arrived very early at the port to ensure that the bus was in the best location to leave the port as soon as it was full. As a result we arrived at Blarney Castle before any of the other tours and were able to get up to the Blarney stone before there was a line up. There was a little confusion on finding the bus since the tour was listed as being by Elegant Irish Tours, but the markings for the bus was Paddy Wagon. It was not obvious that they were indeed the same thing.
Our driver, Val (short for Valentine) with Paddywagon, was fantastic, so much fun, very energetic, entertaining and knowledgeable!!! He got us to Blarney Castle early to miss the long lines, much appreciated!!! We only had to wait maybe 15 minutes in line to kiss the Blarney Stone. Great Excursion!!
We enjoyed going to the Blarney Castle. The line was way too long to go up and kiss the stone. We suggest walking around the grounds, it was worth it.
What a fabulous tour! Well worth the money...super tour guide who was perfect in every way. He had us laughing so hard.
The tour was fantastic. Valentine Val, our driver and guide made the tour a memorable experience. He was funny, knowledgeable, and really went above and beyond to make the tour one for the books. Had we known Val was going to be in Dublin the next day leading another tour, we would have switched. The locations were great, the time flew by, and we wanted more. Highly recommend this tour and especially Valentine as your guide.
It was fabulous! Our guide did a great job - particularly get us into the castle early before the big rush. We were lucky to see the changing of the guards. Thank you, thank you!

Our tour guide was THE BEST EVER! Michael Coggins, I believe. He had us at, into and up to Blarney Castle so smoothly and quickly we did not have to wait in long lines at all! We were delighted with his stories and his experience and advice were invaluable. This was one of the best tours I have ever enjoyed on all of our trips! He sang to us, laughed with us and was the best advertisement for Ireland ever!
After we met our driver, John Kelly, and everyone was on the bus, he suggested we head right to the Blarney Castle in order to avoid the crowds, which was an excellent idea. We did have a line to wait in to reach the top, plus you need to climb a lot of stairs in a fairly narrow, windy stairwell. Once at the top, you lay on your back and lean over the edge to Kiss the Blarney Stone. There is someone there to hold on to you and someone else takes a picture, which you can purchase when you get down. After, we toured the grounds, which were beautiful. By the time we were leaving, the line to kiss the stone was extremely long, glad we got there early. I did notice that there were buses from the cruise ship we were on, so they were going to have a long line and not get to enjoy as much as we did.
Once back on the bus, we stopped at an open food market, which had fresh meats, cheese, pastries, veggies, fish, etc. We walked around for awhile before getting back on the bus.
Next stop was Kinsale Harbour, where we stopped for a late lunch. We had lunch at Kitty's, which had very good fish and chips. However, we didn't have enough time to go shopping, which is probably a blessing in disguise.
John had us back to our cruise ship in plenty of time.
Anthony our driver and guide was great!! Would recommend to anyone. Fun and entertaining.
Terrific tour and our driver/guide, Don, was in a class by himself! Charming, informed, full of Blarney and the real highlight of our day!! The Blarney Castle was crowded but still accessible to those who would brave the 90 or so steps! Kinsale was absolutely charming and we loved our time there.
This was my first tour booked through Viator. Was pleasantly surprised! Half the cost of the cruise line tour and our driver was awesome! Got us to Blarney castle ahead of the large tour buses and instructed us to go directly to the castle to avoid the long line that would develop. He shared his knowledge of Ireland and sang us some heartfelt Irish tunes as we cruised in comfort! Exactly as advertised!
We traveled by bus thru the Irish countryside. The greenery was almost overwhelming. The Castle grounds were beautiful. It was a busy day and we waited in line for 25 minutes just to get into the castle to climb the many very narrow stairs to the top. That took about another 20-25 minutes. It is not for the claustrophobic person. The Blarney Stone was kissed by many, not us. We found out later that you can asked the attendant to spray the area before kissing the stone.
Kinsale was a lovely little town as was the City of Cork. Again, the weather was fantastic.
