Fantastic day filled with fantastic sights. Our guide was knowledgeable and great fun.
We had scheduled our excursion a few days after arriving on the island. Our tour guide arrived to take us on our adventure but told us the Jeep portion of the tour was cancelled due to a lot of rain and some roads impassable. We asked about rescheduling and the company was extremely gracious and even booked a private tour for the 4 of us several days later! Our tour guide, Howard, picked us up for a day full of fun and adventure. Howard was very knowledgable about the island and gave us all the time we wanted at each stop. He was loads of fun especially his personal back-up alarm that the Jeep did not have that surprised people when they realized it was him and not the vehicle! and made our excursion one of the most enjoyable we have ever experienced. The beautiful views, spectacular caves and best snorkeling we have ever encountered! Highly recommended!
This tour was very cool! The rock formations along the coast and the cavern are a real natural wonder and swimming with the sea turtles is really an unforgettable experience!
Incredible, seriously Harold is the best guide what a blast. Thank you! Would recommend snorkeling and boka views are a must see and can be done in this quick trip!
Howard, our guide, was knowledgable about all the sights we visited. Plus he was hilarious!
Great day out!
Elmer, our guide, was simply amazing! His knowledge of all that is Curacao was impressive, and we were fortunate to see some wonderful sights while learning all about he history of the island.
This tour was awesome. We had the best tour guide, Howard, who was willing to answer all of our questions and also act as our photographer. Perfect way to see the island, culture and natural landmarks. The only thing I was I would advise to future tour goers is to bring some snacks. The lunch is either chicken, tuna or egg salad. So if you don't like mayonnaise or any of those three options, bring your own food.

This was my most favorite tour out of all in Curacao, because it was so cool to go out into the remote parts of Curacao and see a different side of this beautiful island. I finally got to see turtles in Curacao thanks to this tour, and our guide Howard please forgive me if I mixed up the names was super informative and educational about all aspects of Curacao. He was also super funny, he should do stand up comedy on the side. We also got to snorkel at Playa Lagun, which to me was the perfect way to end the tour. By the way, the lunch provided was super good and very filling, which made the rest of the day even more enjoyable! Thank you to Howard and to the tour company for a great time!!!
Howard really made this tour an amazing journey around some the best spots in the Island. Playa Lagun is a really nice place to snorkel.
We loved this excursion! Our tour guide, Elmer, was very kind and knowledgable. He picked us up at our resort on time and we began our day riding in the back of an open-air Safari truck. It was very windy but he was a safe driver and made us very comfortable. We explored the coastline and saw the blowhole and other amazing sights. He took the time to explain the history of the land and culture, and even went out of his way to show us the sea turtles, flamingos, plantation houses and remnants of bomb shells from WWII. We also enjoyed the beautiful view at Shete Boka, but unfortunately the caves were closed due to high waves. Elmer provided us with a delicious lunch and got our cruise ship passengers back on time. Highly recommended!
Everything went well and on time this time unlike Aruba. Very very professional. I really enjoyed the commentary and the sights that we were taken to. The driver was excellent and so very nice. This is not a trip for anyone with a bad back as we were on very rough roads. I just loved it!! Good job on this one.
It was a great tour. Curacao Actif did very well, we had a unique experience which was away from the ordinary tours. Larry our toour guide made it fun for us, and he was with us on X-mas day. We had Fun!
trip was good but to crowded 8 adults in the back of a Toyota pick-up is too much would not do again
Great guide, Chippee. Good way to see the north island. Snorkeling at Playa Lagoon very disappointing. Not many fish and too many little crabs that bite!
Spent the day exploring parts of Curacao no other tour was going to show me. Tour was a little bumpy when off road but thats to be expected. Excellent experience. Snorkeling was excellent, many various fish were so close to shore that it took very little effort to swim with them.
I had a great time on the jeep safari tour. We went all over the island, and stopped at many interesting places. Our guide, Elmer, was very informative and spoke English, Papamientu, and Spanish. Even though I had just done the complete island tour that took us on almost the same route, this tour was interesting because we stopped at different places. We also went to Shete Boka National Park, but our guide took us to a different location in the park than I had been previously. Lunch was included in the tour. It consisted of tuna salad and chicken salad. We also did some snorkeling at the end of the tour. It was very interesting and I'm glad I went!
There had been a lot of rain the previous night and the driver, who was late arriving, explained that some of the off road tracks would be impassable. He said he would take us to an extra snorkel site, the Curaçao distillery and to see the flamingos instead.
We did not go to the distillery or where the flamingos were. We also did not go to the natural pool at Suplado.
He said his speaker was broken, so there was no commentary. He did stop several times in Willemstad to explain a few things.
There was no talk about the rock formations in the Shete Park, we just wandered off by ourselves. The lunch was 3 different sandwich fillings , chicken, tuna and egg salads and bread rolls. The only drinks provided were lemonade and water out of two big coolers tied to the back of the 8 seater land cruiser. Passengers were purchasing chips and cola at the picnic site. No snacks were offered during the tour.
The weather is what it is, one works around it and makes the best of the situation. However, a vehicle without working seat belts, speaker, and the other points mentioned were not weather related.
Found this activity to be quite a disappointment. Other than seeing some blow holes, which was not new to us, it really didn't have much to offer. Did not see the caves or ostrich farm, as advertised. Lunch was good and they were accommodating to our dietary restrictions, but came too close to the snorkeling part of the tour, which mean a tinge of nausea. Did not see much at all on the snorkeling, which was very disappointing after hearing about all the wonderful sea life in the area. In fact, we did see a lot of sea life the next day when we went scuba diving. Our time on this activity would have been better spent as an extra day of scuba diving. Would not recommend.
