Great challenge!!

This was an absolutely wonderful day. Our guide, Kevin, explained the history of the area in great detail and made sure that we understood. He was very patient and spoke very good English. Looking up at Huayna Picchu from the buildings of Machu Picchu was enough to make us want to climb to the top. It was an experience that was totally worth the effort once we were at the top of Huayna Picchu looking down on Machu Picchu. The view was one of the best I have ever seen in my life and gave us a memory that will never be erased. It also gave us an appreciation of the beauty that the Andes Mountains have to offer everyone who dares to climb this mountain.

Glad we decided to go with a guide who took care of all permits/tickets. It’s an early morning, but being one of the first people into the site was great. The hike up Huayna is challenging and steep, but Kevin (the guide) was patient. He’s also very knowledgeable and a great photographer. We opted to hike back down to Aguas Calientes & skip the bus.

Top class tour in our trip by FAR !

CrossOver is absolutely one of the best. This day tour was private and personalized. Our guide Kevin was very passionate and informative and also prep us in person a day before the tour to make sure we have enough gears and water and also where to meet and what to expect. We were picked up at 3:40am by the driver to Ollantaytambo. From there we ride the PeruRail to Aguas Calientes. All tickets are included and we met Kevin again there. We had plenty of time navigate around Machu Picchu and then hike up to Huayna Pichu. Our guide Kevin is not only informative, but he is also a good photographer! our pictures are stunning and he never let us down! It just a shame that we didnt stay there long enough as return from Huayna Picchu it has started raining. But the view from Huayna Picchu is purely stunning and 100% worth it ! We highly recommend this tour and Kevin. He is passionate about Peru, is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful. By far our best experience in Peru !

The weather wasn’t the best, but our guide, Yaritza, was. Our trip was during the rainy season, which lived up to its name. Despite this, our guide made sure we saw as much as possible and provided a lot of great historical facts. Huayna Picchu is a tough hike, but our guide made sure we were safe.

Wow! Cross Over Tours was fantastic. This day tour was totally personalized. The guide, Juan Carlos, met us at our hotel the previous evening and told us what time to be ready, what to pack, what to wear and what to expect. We were picked up at 3 am in the morning at our hotel. After a 2 hour drive to the train station, we were given first class tickets for the train included in the cost. The first class train ride included drinks and snacks. Rolling cart similar to on a plane. Another hour to Machu Pichu city and then a short bus ride to Machu Pichu also included in the cost. We first walked up Huayna Pichu about 2 hours, then walked down to the Grand Cave, and then back up to meet the trail to go down to Machu Pichu. We did Huaynu Pichu first so that we were done before it got hot. We then toured Machu Pichu. We highly recommend this tour, this tour company and specifically our guide, Juan Carlos. He is passionate about Peru, is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and knows how to motivate you to complete the trek. Friendly, sense of humor and just a nice guy. We truly enjoyed this experience.
