What You Can Expect

Private Full-Day Tour to the Archaeological Site of Pisac in the Sacred Valley

Start the day with 8am pickup at your hotel in Cusco, then travel to the Sacred Valley in a comfortable, private vehicle. During the trip, your guide will share the historic background of the Sacred Valley, which was an important Inca center in the pre-Colombian era.

After arriving at the Sacred Valley, continue on foot, following the “Short Inca Trail” to a series of archeological sites with terraces and ruined temples. Some of the ruins date back to the early years of the Inca, and the sites are especially dramatic with a backdrop of snowcapped mountain peaks.

When the trail emerges at the colonial town of Pisac, you’ll have some time on your own to wander through the markets, and visit a restaurant for lunch (lunch is not included in the price of this tour, but your guide can help you find the perfect place to eat). The town of Pisac is the ideal place to shop for hand-woven fabrics, as the Sacred Valley is famed for its traditional weaving villages. This 8-hour tour concludes with return transfer to Cusco and drop-off at your hotel.
