Get a taste for the gorgeous scenery, Inca history and idyllic small-town feel of Peru’s Sacred Valley during this flexible private tour and horseback ride around the cities of Maras and Moray. Discover the ingenious design of the salt terraces at Maras along with the unique circular agricultural plots at Moray. After enjoying an included lunch, hike for an hour to reach the Vilacanota River, where your Peruvian Paso horses wait to transport you on a 2-hour riding adventure amidst the area’s small Andean villages and beautiful scenery.
There were 5 of us - to include a 10 year-old. Our guide Alex was wonderful. He was friendly and knowledgeable. They were very accommodating when we needed to stop. The picnic lunch was filling and tasty - and the location was very picturesque. The folks who did the horseback riding were knowledgeable and the horses were pretty well behaved. For us, having only a couple of hours on horseback was perfect. Maras and Moray weren't all that impressive once you were there - but the stops in between and the scenery were a great way to see the area. The tour went several hours longer than planned - but I think that was due to our shopping detour in Chinchero - the guides cut nothing out - just pushed through. I would recommend this.
