I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide was excellent. Hoi An City was a highlight in our trip throughout Vietnam.
This was a really good day. Our guide Key. Was excellent and we were taken to all the good sites. Unfortunately the rain got in the way a bit, but it stopped in time for us to see the Lady Buddha. Lunch was excellent. Well worth the money.
Great day out made even more memorable by our friendly, enthusiastic and caring tour guide, Nee, who went out of her way to make the day special with excellent spoken English and local knowledge. We could not have fitted more into the day with the taxi driver being readily available by phone to pick us up and drop us off whenever needed. The lower cost and individual attention made this excursion much better than anything offered by the cruise line. Friends on the ship were amazed with all we managed to fit in during the day.
Many thanks Nee and Vaitor for a brilliant day.
Marble Mountain is amazing. Lots of steps but worth it. The stop at the marble factory, not so much, unless you really need a large carved Buddha or dolphin for your garden or home. Hoi An is also fascinating and worth a visit. So worth a visit that we were frustrated by how little time we were able to spend there. Everyone wanted more time for shopping. Nonetheless we had a great time.
The tour is advertised as 11 hours, however our guide brought us back after 8. The tour included a brief stop at Da Nang beach and then monkey mountain to see an awesome temple, pagoda and the Lady Buddha. From the top of the mountain you get a good view of the city. From this mountain, we spent 45 minutes at a marble factory. Although there was 1 carver, the primary purpose of the stop was to purchase some very expense merchandise. Marble mountain is incredible. There are approx. 152 uneven, steep and large steps to climb. The caves are amazing and worth the effort. Take lots of water and make sure you take breaks as you are climbing. The tour company TOTALLY mixed up our lunch so 2 of the 3 people in the group were very hungry. At Hoi An you do lots of walking between the 5 stops. The silk making factory was very interesting, as you see each step of the silk production. Of course, there is lots of time to see the show rooms and purchase the goods. It would have been nice to have spent more time in this historic site and to take more pictures.
