Spotting crocodiles is only one of the many wildlife viewing opportunities on this unique water system. Departing camp, travel to nearby Nourlangie Rock. Here you can see how local Aboriginal people lived in this area through changing times. After lunch visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. See the audio-visual presentations and Marrawuddi Gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from within Kakadu and the wider region. Later this afternoon arrive at the culturally significant Aboriginal art site of Ubirr, located within the East Alligator region of the park. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for panoramic views over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. It’s time to pick out a quiet spot to sit while watching the sun set over the Kakadu escarpment before making the short journey to our private and permanent campsite for the night.

What a fantastic tour, beautiful places and a great guide! He made us feel realy good on the trip, and we, my friend and I, would like to say 'thank you' to him. The parks are wonderful. But it is as much important, that the guide fits for a really good trip!

Never miss the Yellow River Cruise in the early morning. Respect every culture and all the creatures even though we don't know.

Fantastic tour, we had a bus full of young fun loving people and we had a ball. Mel was our driver/guide and she showed us all of the amazing waterfalls and swimming holes, she told us about the termite mounds and other features of the outback. The food was fresh and plentiful. Dinner the first night was a BBQ with steaks, sausages and salads with lots of wine. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore the beautiful water holes and waterfalls. I would definitely recommend this tour but take the Aerogard, good walking shoes and sunblock. There is a lot of climbing up rocky hills at Litchfield.

The vehicle was comfortable, the food was tasty and plentiful, the scenery amazing and the guide (Jarred) was lovely. I would thoroughly recommend this tour as it was a great 'taste test' of the top end and the tour managed to fit in a lot: Indigenous rock art, basket weaving, spear throwing, bush walking, swimming in waterfalls and a boat tour of a billabong teaming with birds, crocodiles, and beautiful scenery. The 'camping' was comfortable with proper beds, toilets and hot showers. Our group was a great group of happy, friendly people with a cross section of ages and nationalities. Everyone was happy to pitch in to help when needed, which ensured that a good time was had by all. We are already planning another trip to the top end, so we can explore some of the places we visited more fully. Thanks to our guide Jarred for a wonderful experience too. Cheers Marlene and Peter (Perth)
