What You Can Expect

Darwin Sunset Dinner Cruise Aboard a Traditional Ketch

Darwin Sunset Dinner Cruise

Board your two-masted ketch, a traditional fishing boat, at Stokes Hill Wharf and set out on your Darwin sunset dinner cruise. You’ll dine on a 4-course dinner, served at a shaded outdoor table in the intimate setting of this smaller sailing vessel.

Cast your gaze over the coastline while your expert crew shares informative commentary as you sail out of the harbor. During your 3-hour excursion, be sure to keep your camera on hand to capture the tropical colors of a classic Top End sunset.

To start dinner you are served a selection of tasty homemade dips and delectable seafood appetizers. Choose from banana prawns, Coffin Bay oysters or hot-smoked Spanish mackerel — the boat’s signature dish. Select the fresh catch of the day or rib-eye beef steak (Scotch fillet) for your main course, accompanied by a selection of breads and salads. Espresso coffee or tea accompany homemade dessert.

Enjoy beverages purchased from the bar on board, or feel free to bring your own; the crew will provide you with glasses and ice at no extra cost.

After you’ve had your fill of amazing food and sunset views, your Darwin cruise ends at the wharf.

Beautiful evening and perfect timing. The scenery was what I had hoped for. The service was excellent with friendly hardworking staff. The meal was sumptuous - prawns, oysters, smoked mackerel were preceded by dips and followed by fresh mackerel or salmon with appropriate salads. The feast concluded with a delicious lemon and coconut cheesecake and coffee. Great value for money.

We sat on the top deck which was brilliant. The cruise was great with some commentary as we went. It was a bit breezy and choppy in parts but nothing too dampening on the experience and still pleasant. The food was plentiful buffet style. A prawn package only was available but as there were unlimited prawns in the buffet, that would be my recommendation.

Overall, a wonderful experience and one we'd recommend to all to see Darwin Harbour, which is bigger than Sydney Harbour apparently.

A Brilliant end to an amazing holiday. All of us 11 people in our group from QLD commented on how we couldn't have ended the holiday in a better way than cruising with this amazing group of people on this beautiful boat. The food was out of this world, the crew were funny, the Captain was wonderful and the scenery and sunset viewing was SPECTACULAR!!!! A MUST for all visiting Darwin.
