Located an easy drive from Darwin, Litchfield National Park encircles the Tabletop Range, which is known for stunning waterfalls, naturally formed swimming holes, sculptural cliffs, monsoon forest and massive sculptural termite mounds.

Leave Darwin early to make the most of your day. After hotel pickup, travel by air-conditioned minivan along the Stuart Highway through red desert wilderness. Before entering Litchfield National Park, stop for a guided tour of the Magnetic and Cathedral termite mounds, massive structures that rise 20 feet (six meters) high like miniature skyscrapers. Termites form tunnels and chimneys and intricate arches in the mounds, which can be viewed from nearby boardwalks.

Next up, continue your drive into Litchfield National Park and spend the day discovering several scenic spots. Swim in natural rock pools formed at the base of Florence Falls and Wangi Falls (seasonal) and enjoy a barbecue lunch. In the afternoon, head to Buley Rockhole, where a series of waterfalls and swimming holes are perfect for a refreshing dip and exploring on foot.

Your tour ends with return to Darwin in the early evening and drop-off at your hotel.

The tour was exceptional value for money. We got to see so much and learned so much about Darwin's WW2 bombing of Darwin as well as the history and culture of the Indeginous people of this land. The termite mounds were awesome!!!!! so many and soooo.... HUDGE!!! Saving the best for last...... OUR TOUR GUIDE "JOEY". What an AMAZING guide. He was so knowledgable in every aspect of the tour. His professionalism and hospitality was way above and beyond our expectation. Thanks so much Joey for giving us a perfect day out. We'll definitely be recommending this tour to our family and friends for their visit in Darwin.

A long day but a chance to see some beautiful national park. There are opportunities to swim but I didn't swim and did some bush walking instead. The guide Darren was great.

Joey was super friendly and funny!! We enjoyed the day trip very much although there was some rain due to the wet season. We got to swim in three waterfalls and explore one river. Wangi waterfall was the best part! The basic BBQ lunch was delicious.
