A long drive from downtown to the Marina but worth it and good value. We loved sitting up top cruising the waterways.

The trip/cruise was good, the entertainment was very good, but the food was not great, maybe our taste, but spoilt the trip for us.
There were many other boats that were cheaper so we thought this would be better.

Make sure you arrive early so that you can sit up top and enjoy the view to get a good view of the city or you will be stuck sitting down stairs looking out the windows as the upstairs is filled with tables and No where to stand and take pictures of the city view. The food was pretty good.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better April 2016

The views during the cruise were very nice, but the diner served was not excellent at all, to say the least. Also, it would have been nice to have heard some information about the various points we passed during the trip, but nothing was announced. Service was ok.

My family and I did not enjoy this cruise. There was no decorum when it came to people getting food. Yes, it was a buffet and you'd think there will be plenty of food for everyone. But, alas! a huge crowd converged on the food table and jostled for the food. No staff from the cruise was on hand to organise people and advise them. Of course some items run out, especially the desert as some people simply piled on all manner of food, savoury and desert and took it back to their table. There was no notice given that tea would be served downstairs. In fact, it appeared the bulk of the passengers, all speaking the same language perhaps in code moved downstairs and it was only later that we learnt tea/coffee had been offered there. Yes, the view was great and for that, we have awarded the experience one star. It could have been that much better.

We booked this tour last month. It was our first time in Dubai and also on this tour. I guess this would be the first and last. It was a good experience but not much to our satisfaction. This trip was booked with a return transfer. Once we reached our destination, we were supposed to wait for entry direction to board the dhow. There were quite a crowd for this tour and all flocked like birds to the gate entry to enter the dhow. There was no systematic line of queue to enter the dhow and people were rushing with no sense of manners cutting other people's queues. It was such an ugly sight shown by some people who were rushing off to get their seats on the Dhow. When we boarded the dhow, we were directed to our seats, which happened to be located right smack in front near the Captain's seat and loud speakers! Music was good but to our dismay, it was put on air so loud that it almost burst my ear drum...and I ended having that kind of dull feeling for 2 days in my ear! The floor deck was slippery and I almost had a skid fall. It was also smoky as few people sitting at the captain deck was smoking onboard. Food was basic, nothing fantastic...claimed to be International buffet but more to Indian and Arabic food and it was not replenished fast. There was such a long queue to get the food, almost 20mins of wait in the queue and again, there were some people jumping the queue to get another serving?! Atmosphere was ok but could have been improved by good lighting as the 'candle light' on the table weren't bright enough...lucky I had a flash light in my phone, otherwise we wouldn't know what we ate? Our experience onboard could have been better...we were disappointed by the madness and rush at the queue, the food, the crew for not directing and serving tourists effectively. This would be our first and last onboard a dhow cruise in Dubai...perhaps?
