This was a great tour, we had a great time. the guide was very genuine and personable with great local knowledge. The tour was timed perfectly with many delicious and interesting local delicacies to try. We also really enjoyed the facts and history the guide shared with us as we walked through the different souks on our way to the different tasting. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the historic parts of Dubai.

Not as described. We didn't get anything close to 10 tastings/stops. We walked through the gold souk, then on to the spice souk where we finally had our first tasting of a date dipped in camel milk chocolate. Then we had camel milk ice cream and took an abra across Dubai Creek to a food market area. OK, halfway through our tour and we think we're finally going to get to taste some local specialties. Nope. Our first stop is at a food stand called Bombay Times for some type of spicy/sweet puri. No real description or explanation of what we are tasting. Then we stop at a place for a falafel sandwich. Then we are handed a coffee or tea. And then off to our last stop for a camel burger, where the guide proceeded to pick french fries off our plate. Then the guide sent us off in taxis. That was our entire 3 hours. If you count the coffee/tea.. that's maybe 6 tastings... no visit to a restaurant to try the Middle Eastern favorites... no 'fresh prawns cooked in spices'... no 'stuffed vine leaves'. No visit to a Coffee Museum, and did not see any historically costumed staff or learn about this age-old beverage. The guide had nothing meaningful to say about any of the food that we tasted. Terrible food tour. Half our group went back to the hotel to have a decent meal to fill their empty stomachs. Maybe we should have something while on the tour, but honestly, I didn't print out the 'what you can expect' page, and didn't know what we were missing until we got back and re-read the tour description. I trusted the tour to deliver the experience I booked. At the end of the day, customers should not have to be the watchdogs of any tour.. it is the responsibility of the tour guide to deliver what is described.

Excellent tour with very personable guide. You get a local insider's view of the best food and locations to eat it while getting a real feel for the central area of Dubai around the Creek. I defy most people not to be full after the first few tastings though.
