This was a highlight of our tour in Dubai. The company was very professional picking up from hotel and taking us into the desert. Excellent sand dune driving with the sunset over the dunes was spectacular. The show afterwards and dinner was fantastic and the kids really enjoyed the camel rides. Only down point was getting to hold a Falcon and after handing it back you where told there was a fee - A bit of a rip off at 200 Dirhams
It was awesome! Enjoyed
We took part in the desert safari as a group of 4 friends and shared with two other girls. It worked out at roughly 40 each and was excellent value. Our driver on the way there was new to the job however we felt perfectly safe. Can't remember his name but he was Jordanian. Because of a miscommunication from his colleagues he took ages to find our apartment and then went to the wrong hotel to pick the other two girls up! Nevertheless he was quite polite and entertaining. Dune bashing was loads of fun! Quite scary at first like a roller coaster. Viewing the sunset was nice over the sand dunes. When we arrived at the camp we were seated at a table then wandered around freely, with various activities included in the price such as henna tattoos, shisha, camel rides we missed this because we ran out of time before the show started and arabic costumes for photo opportunities. Soft drinks and a delicious bbq and salad buffet were also included halfway through the dance show. It ended at around 8pm and we were took back in the 4x4 by another driver, Tariq Mehmood owner of the company we booked with who was very knowledgeable and funny! Only negative point is on the way back when they inflated their tyres at a service station, we were forced to go in the shop and made to feel obliged to spend money in there which we didn't do as it was a rip off!. Despite this, we had a great time and I would recommend to anyone visiting dubai. Thanks Tariq for a pleasant and entertaining drive back to our apartments!
This was a good experience but not as long as tour states, the camel ride was barely a minute which my grandson was most disappointed by, show was very good, food ok!!!
Shame the rubbish is spoiling the desert scenery where we stopped for photos. BBQ was disappointing, too crowded and not enough food. The free camel ride only lasted 2 minutes/20 metres. Toilets were in need of maintenance and cleaning. Entertainment was enjoyable. Pick up from hotel was on time and vehicle was clean and comfortable.
