What To Expect

Greet your guide at a central Dublin location and climb aboard a luxury, air-conditioned coach destined for County Kildare. Gaze at the rolling green hills of the Irish countryside, and listen to commentary from your guide as you go.

After passing through picturesque areas like County Tipperary and County Kildare, arrive at the ancient fortress of Blarney Castle, famed for one of Ireland’s best-loved treasures, the Blarney stone. Ascend to the castle’s tower to kiss the Blarney stone and receive, according to legend, the skill of speaking in a charming and eloquent manner.

Travel onward to Cahir Castle and the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary. Hear the legends that surround the imposing twin towers of the cathedral and take a guided tour of the structure’s Hall of Vicars and Cormac’s Chapel, home to the oldest Romanesque wall painting in Ireland.

Return to the coach for the journey back to Dublin, where the tour concludes.

Molly Malone Statue

We will meet in front of the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. Our exciting day tour will begin by travelling through Ireland’s southern terrain. Before leaving you’ll meet your fun-loving and knowledgeable tour guide and your fellow travel companions!

Rock of Cashel

The Rock of Cashel is a multi-period monastic site, which was a fortress before it became the seat of the bishop of the diocese of Cashel, and venue where the historical Synod of Cashel was held. Visit the Great Cathedral, the Hall of Vicars Choral, Cormack's Chapel (with one of Ireland's best preserved Irish frescoes and Romanesque architecture) and a Round tower, all perched on a solid rock ringed by a curtain wall- most of it dating back from before the Cambro-Norman conquerors came to Ireland in the late 12th Century.

Great day out. Driver David made it even better.
PHILIP_A, Aug 2022
Our driver David was great, lovely man and made us all feel welcome. He was very knowledgeable and had some fun historical anecdotes and great groan worthy jokes :-) He was also very patient with some stragglers and went above and beyond to locate people.

Great day away from big city Dublin. Enjoyed the countryside. Enjoyed learning more about living in Ireland many years back. Driver did a good job pointing out sites and sharing bits of Irish history. All in all a positive day.
Don't be late, lots of walking, absolutely worth it!
Emerence_L, Aug 2022
Absolutely amazing trip. Keep in mind that there is a lot of walking and show up at the bus early or at the least on time because there is a limit and the bus driver does not have time to wait. It was a little scary to find the bus in the morning but most of the bus drivers are good at coming and making sure they get everyone on the correct bus! I would absolutely recommend this though! Absolutely beautiful and our driver was the best!
Tour to Blarney
Elisa_M, Aug 2022
Barry was a great tour guide. Timing for all stops felt just right. Barry also gave a lot of interesting and helpful information about Dublin and the stops on our way to Blarney and the other stops. He had a nice mix of music in between talks.
worth it if all you want is to kiss the stone!
pumpkinmam, Aug 2022
We left late. There was no driver so they called in a sub. no guide! The driver was called in on his day off, and made that known .The drive told us on several occasions that he was saving his voice, because he was going on holiday in two weeks, so there was little explanation. there was too much leniency on guests arriving late back to the bus! Blarney is a very physical walk, very long lots of steps,! Cahir guide at the castle was amazing ! great tour but at the rock of cashel , we were just kind of let off with no information or guidance, again he was saving his voice??If your goal is to kiss the stone, it is worth it, if not then take another tour!

wonderful day
Jennifer_K, Aug 2022
Great tour. Aubrey was amazing! We saw everything we needed to see and then some. We would have lived another hour at the Blarney stone location to shop and walk into town - but the tour was great!
We are SO GLAD we took this tour!
Glenn_H, Aug 2022
Our family of four had a fantastic time on this day tour. Our driver and guide, Connor, met us exactly at the specified time and meeting place. The castles were amazing! Connor was informative and entertaining — he even sang some Irish tunes for us along the way. We have great memories of the day.
Favorite tour and bus driver. Hope you get Barry!
Kevin_F, Sep 2022
This was a favorite excursion. Our bus driver/tour guide, Barry was such an excellent driver. I felt safe 100% of the time. He was kind and funny and we learned a lot from him. The bus was also really nice and had root rests and WiFi. We only had a group of about 15 on the bus which was lovely. We had plenty of stops to use the bathroom and plenty of time at each destination. Rock of Cashel was my favorite. It's so beautiful there. I recommend this tour to everyone!
Great day!!

This was a very enjoyable...
Arlene_E, Jul 2022
This was a very enjoyable tour. Our bus driver and tour guide, Finn, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, fun and flexible on the tour. He added on a half hour at the Blarney Castle when some people needed food and wanted to buy souvenirs. It was busy the day we were there, so he adjusted our schedule to make sure everyone had a great experience. The Castle and grounds were beautiful. The entire drive seeing the countryside was beautiful. We did stop by a couple of other castles as well on this tour.
Exceeded my expectations
KayleaBrase, Jul 2022
I thoroughly enjoyed the day trip to southern Ireland. Our guide, Derek, was delightful. He kept us on time, sang us an Irish song, and gave us important and interesting information about each place we visited. The bus was comfortable and I was able to catch a good nap in between the main sites. Rock of Cashel was definitely worth visiting. So much history and significance. And Blarney Castle exceeded my expectations with the whole experience: the castle, the stone, the cave, and the many gardens. I hadn't heard of the Cahir Castle before, but I learned a lot from the guided tour. We only had a few minutes to walk through the rest of the castle on our own after the tour, but I didn't mind since we had already spent enough time at Rock of Cashel and Blarney. A wonderful tour all in all, and I came home with many good stories to tell
Great tour. Lots of walking
Jason_T, Aug 2022
The tour for Blarney Castle, Rock of Cashil and Cahir castle is an all day event. ** Leaves early, make sure you plan a breakfast before you leave or bring snacks. ** Our guide Connor was an excellent and informative guide. He knows so much about Dublin and adds humour and fun for the long bus rides. Also to mention, he can drive a bus where I wouldn’t drive a smart car. Amazing to see the downtown Dublin, country side and castles. The tours are self guided except the Cahir castle. Connor explains everything you need to know and where to go before you get off the bus. Rock of Cashil is steep walk to get to it, but the views are outstanding. Worth the hike. Blarney castle and the surrounding attractions are amazing. Cahir castle is the easiest to get to and the guide was amazing.
Fun time overall
Thomas_S, Sep 2022
The best part was kissing the Blarney Stone - just wish we had more time there to see more of the area - the first stop on the bus was probably unnecessary and took up a lot of time that could have been spent at the castle
Worth the trip
Tina_K, Sep 2022
Loved the trip. Could have spent our entire day in Blarney. The castle and the gardens were amazing. The small town looked like fun, unfortunately we ran out of time to do as much exploring as we wanted.
We loved the three castle...
Sarah_H, Aug 2022
We loved the three castle stops. Perfect day! Enough time at each stop and our guide, Derrick Nixon, was very informative and generous with his stories. Great day trip!
Day of castles
marisol_d, Aug 2022
This was an amazing experience. It brought me back into history. These castles are magnificent. Make sure you wear sneakers since there is a lot of walking and some of the stairs are uneven and staircases are narrow. This is a must see. I did kiss the Blarney Stone.
Great guide makes for a great day!!
Laura_H, Aug 2022
Awesome tour and guide!! Our guide, Connor, was not only incredibly knowledgeable, he was funny and quite entertaining! We had a wonderful day!!! Thank you Connor!!
