Blarney Castle and Cork Day Trip from Dublin

Blarney Castle and Cork Day Trip from Dublin

Greet your guide at a central Dublin location and climb aboard a luxury, air-conditioned coach destined for County Kildare. Gaze at the rolling green hills of the Irish countryside, and listen to commentary from your guide as you go.
After passing through picturesque areas like County Tipperary and County Kildare, arrive at the ancient fortress of Blarney Castle, famed for one of Ireland’s best-loved treasures, the Blarney stone. Ascend to the castle’s tower to kiss the Blarney stone and receive, according to legend, the skill of speaking in a charming and eloquent manner.
Travel onward to Cork City and enjoy some free time to explore the quaint city center. Refuel with lunch at the English market (own expense) and visit the triple-spired St Finn Bar’s Cathedral to admire the colossal, sacred structure.
Return to your luxury vehicle after exploring and relax during the journey to the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary. Hear the legends that surround the imposing twin towers of the cathedral and take a guided tour of the structure’s Hall of Vicars and Cormac’s Chapel, home to the oldest Romanesque wall painting in Ireland.
Return to the coach for the journey back to Dublin, where the tour concludes.

Joseph made the trip an amazing experience! He started off singing traditional Irish songs and taught us a lot of Irish history and even how to say some words in Irish. He was funny, full of humanity and told us all the spots to hit at each stop. I hope he works my baby owl joke into his next tour!

This was an excellent tour with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide named Mac who is a school teacher during the school year. Mac was extremely helpfully in making suggestions at to where to go and what to see not only during the tour but in Dublin when we returned. We would highly recommend taking this tour especially if Mac is the tour guide.

The best thing about this tour for me, aside from the achingly beautiful Irish countryside, was our guide. I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten his name, but he made the day as entertaining as possible. I will, however, say that Blarney Castle was a bit of a bust for my friend and I. Neither of us were able to reach to kiss the Blarney Stone she's too short and my back didn't want to bend that way and the wait to kiss the stone was so long we didn't have time to tour the rest of the grounds. That said, I would certainly encourage others to take this tour and enjoy the sights and history offered by it.

Our bus driver was very entertaining and most helpful. This was an all day tour, but most enjoyable by us and everyone on the bus. The gardens are beautiful and the view from the top of the castle is awesome.

John was great and full of knowledge and stories of Ireland. We had a great day with many stops. My favorite was the Rock of Cashel and Cork. Amazing history on your beautiful island. Thank you and I will recommend your group to friends visiting.
