Why Travelers Choose This Tour
This tour packs a typical 2-day schedule into just one day, making it perfect for visitors on a time budget.
Desmond was our tour guide ... the best! He played Irish-Gaelic tunes on his fiddle and sang traditional Irish songs to us. He gave us so much historical information about the places we toured and passed by on the way go our locations. He made every effort to make sure our questions were answered and that we were comfortable during the tours. Excellent tour!
If you're only in Ireland for a few days and are staying in Dublin, this is a great trip to take because it allows you to get a glimpse of the "real Ireland" (i.e. the lush Irish countryside) as you travel from the City to the seaside. On the day of our tour, we were fortunate to have a sunny day and were able to add an optional boat trip which allowed us to see the cliffs from the water. It was simply breathtaking! We stopped in Limerick (very quaint) to see St. John's Castle and also enjoyed lunch in a typical Irish pub. But the best part of the trip - other than the views from the Cliffs - was undoubtedly our bus driver and tour guide, Ronan, who provided lots of fun tidbits and taught us all about the Irish crack (and no - that does not refer to drugs!) Thanks Ronan.
My Brother-In-Law and I took this tour on 9/25/18. From beginning to end this was a fantastic day, made all the better by our driver/guide, Ro. Ro shared a wealth of information all along our journey and was always inquiring about our comfort. Our tour group had an offer to take a boat ride along the Cliffs of Moher which our group was very excited to take. The weather was variable all day but surely this trip is worth the while regardless of the weather. Stops at King John's and Bunratty Castle as well as lunch at McGann's make this trip worth taking. A long day for sure but well worth the investment. Will definitely use Paddywagon again on my next trip.Rob S.
small group, comfortable transportation - being picked up and dropped off at my hotel rather than out in the elements at a statue or common location was a definite plus. wish we'd had a little more time at king john's castle, and a little less at the cliffs, but overall a good trip. we also stopped at a pub for an enjoyable lunch and a pint!
The tour was long but interesting and fun. the Cliffs of Moher was breathtaking and we were lucky to take the boat ride as the weather was good. the Irish stew we had at the restaurant during lunch was fantastic. I would recommend going on this tour
One word: WOW! The coach is very comfortable. The drive through the countryside is beautiful and once you get to the cliffs, wow, prepare to have your socks knocked off. Life affirming beauty. Our tour guide was also fantastic. He was kind and gave thoughtful commentary without being too chatty. You will not regret booking this tour
Full day tour to the eastern side of Ireland with Patrick of Elegant Ireland Tours. We stop in Limerick along the way for a visit to King John's Castle - very understated as castles go but affords a lovely view of the town. We continue to to the Cliffs and run the gamut of weather, wind, rain, rainbows and sun. Fortunately, by the time we reach the cliffs the wind has died down somewhat. We opt to take the optional ferry boat which offers beautiful views of the cliffs from the water - the seas were pretty big so it was a bit of a ride still fun. We had lunch in the town of Doolin then walked along the top of the cliffs. Absolutely stunning views!
