The first time we used the 3 day pass, we did the whole tour to get an idea of the places we would want to see later in the week. The bus driver was extremely informative and very witty, he even got us singing some traditional Irish songs during the trip. He highlighted all of the attractions, museums and places of interest and made the tour extremely interesting and fun.For the other 2 days we used the bus for hop on hop off as we visited some of the museums and places of interest in Dublin.
I used the hop on off as my main transportation around Dublin instead of paying for cabs. This worked out very well and was cost effective.
Funny drivers! The stops were spread out though out the city so you are able to see a lot in a shorter amount of time.
These buses are a great way to get around Dublin. The drivers even dropped us of on the corner by our apartment which was not one of the stops. Between the green bus and taxis Dublin was a breeze

An easy way to get around Dublin. Well worth the money.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Loved the convenience to do what we wanted when we wanted.. Worth the money
This is a very worthwhile pass, collected the pass from airport, took the coach to city then change to a public bus to our hotel, so convenient. Did two days of Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great value! Used for airport both ways and also used the bus in the city!
Great way to get around town, took us to Gunnies and Jameson distillery. Plus we got a free pass to ride the local buses.
You can't beat this deal. With it including the Airlink bus from/to the airport and city buses along with the hop-on/hop-off bus you can't go wrong. We really got our money's worth with this one.
We bought our vouchers before leaving for our trip. We went to the main bus station in Dublin to exchange it for the tickets. Be aware it does not open until 9 am but we thought it was 8. We arrived in Dublin at 5:30 a.m. Went to our hotel, of course rooms not ready at that time so we had breakfast and walked to station around 7:30 thinking we would have to wait a little while. Four very tired people walked around for a while and then found a rare bench to sit on until opening. Luckily it was warm and no rain. We had a lovely tour around Dublin and got a good overview. The ticket is cleverly attached to a fold out map and we also got some coupons and another map with good information on it.
Enjoyed viewing the different parts of the city. It took us closer to the most important points of the city. The guides were very knowlegable
and made the bus trip exciting.
Makes it so easy to check out your site seeing musts. You can take the initial ride from beginning to end. Great photo ops.
Prior to arriving in Dublin, I bought the three day pass, so we were able to take a bus from the airport and save on cab fare. Once we got to the hotel and ate something, we got on the bus so we would stave off jet lag. The bus takes you to pretty much any tourist site in Dublin, and the drivers are friendly and knowledgable. I think it's a great way to get grounded and see the city.
My daughter and I bought two 72 hour passes on line and easily collected from the office in O'Connell St. The driver/guides were very witty and knowledgable and were not just following a script. We took the full tour on day one which was great for orientation around Dublin. We then used the frequent buses to get around on a hop on hop off basis. A great way to see and get around Dublin, whatever the weather.
Although we were on a drive-yourself vacation, all the tour guides recommended against driving in Dublin. Now I definitely know why, and am so gratefull we took this option. Despite major roadwork in the downtown area, we were deposited within a block of our hostel and thoroughly enjoyed taking the hop on-hop off tour to get our bearings and select those locations we wanted to explore in depth while in the city. The guides were a lot of fun and very helpful, the hop on-hop off concept worked perfectly, and the shuttle into tow nand back to the airport enabled us to relax getting from one place to the other. Thanks very much!
This transport option was such a good buy. We definitely had our money's-worth. Hop-on hop-off was an exceptional value for money bonus and once we worked out the red route/blue route etc we were fine. ie the the red bus wasn't the red route confusingly, but we managed a great day of sightseeing. The only negative comment is that we didn't get time to do everything we wanted. Still another time, aye??
Unlimited Hop and Hop Off Sightseeing is the way to see Dublin ....My 80 year old Mother, Sister, Brother-in- law and I spend three Days in Dublin we traveled on that Green bus a lot and the Airport trip was a plus... the Drivers were friendly and fun...it made our trip to Dublin an informative and fun time.
Great tour, with plenty of buses. We had the 48 hour ticket and used the bus to get around Dublin as well as sight see
