The walking tour was so great! Our guide Alex is a PhD candidate in Irish history so he was able to tell us all about the political and social climate of Ireland as we toured the beautiful buildings. He was also able to add information about the various architectural styles we observed. Since the wind was very cold, he tried to keep us sheltered as much as he could as he provided the tour. Unfortunately I didn't get to complete the tour since I had to get to the airport. It was a great way to fill time, learn more about Dublin and see the sights. I highly recommend this tour.
great way to see areas of major importance such as Trinity College and hear great tidbits, but also go thru small streets and areas we may not have found on our own . highly recommend taking this tour I also enjoy meeting other travelers and chatting during walk.
This was another terrific tour with a AAA tour guide! Our pace was brisk, but, WOW, he certainly was very knowledgable and gracious answering all questions.
Great introduction to the city and history. Alex was a fantastic guide and very knowledgable.
The tour guide is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot of history.
Loved loved loved this one we all loved it, our guide was so informative, he was performing for us.
It covered so much history and sights. I have only great things to say.

We thoroughly enjoyed our slightly damp walking tour of from Trinity College to Temple bar. Donal was a fantastic tour guide / historian. There wasnt a question Donal could not answer. We highly recommend making time for this excursion. Bonus if you get Donal for your guide.
Great historical tour of the city. Our guide Tommy was very knowledgeable taking us through the history of Dublin.
The tour was fabulous! Donal, was an awesome tour guide. Knowledgeable, engaging and handled a large group very well! I always recommend Viator as I think you do great tours!
This was without doubt one of the, if not the best tour I and #39;ve ever been on. Donal, our tour guide, was masterful. His oratory was clear, concise, learned and scholarly, he could easily make a great thespian, although never overly dramatic. Everyone in the group most certainly got a new insight, not only into Irish history, but world history. The added bonus, which enriched the experience enormously, was Donal and #39;s ability to convey the human failings and cost of those failings throughout the history of the Irish, woven in with the affect the outside world, particularly Britain, had on it. He eloquently quoted the great minds of the relevant times through prose and poetry. His description of the 1916 uprising brought me close to tears. Donal is a PHD not only academically but in human nature. Go, just go.
Grace was very informative and kept a good pace. Lots of noise on the streets of Dublin but she made sure everyone could hear her.
This is a wonderful tour and was a great way to start our vacation. We had little knowledge of Ireland's history before this tour. Alex was an awesome tour guide! Not only did we learn a lot about Ireland we had fun while learning. We would highly recommend this tour! It was supposed to be a 2 hour tour but lasted 3 hours.
We only had one day in Dublin so we went independently to the Old Library at Trinity College and saw it including the Book of Kells. Easy to do on your own. Then we took what turned out to be a three hour advertised as 2 hours walking tour this one where our guide was a graduate student of History at Trinity College. Absolutely Outstanding!!! Best way to see historic Dublin if you have limited time.
Our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and had a very deep voice so he was easy to hear and understand.
The tour guide was great - she had a well organized and informative tour. Was a great walking tour of Dublin!
Excellent tour. Donal, the guide, was both informative and humouous.
I highly recommend this as the first thing you do in Dublin. An extremely knowledgeable and engaging history grad student at Trinity College somehow managed to tell us a surprisingly in-depth history of Ireland from before the Vikings until the present day, along with the history of Dublin itself and many of the neighborhoods and buildings, while also taking us around and showing us the sites. Unlike many of the bus tours that are all gung-ho pro-Ireland, our tour guide gave us as objective a history as possible, not embellishing Ireland's stumbles out of a sense of patriotic duty. I walked away with a good sense of the city, and with a good sense of where Ireland is today and how it got there.
I also just love long scenic walks, so even if you don't care for history, this is an excellent walking tour.
Our guide Alex was brilliant! He brought to life the history of Ireland from the Vikings to the present day set in the context of Dublin's varied streetscape. This tour is a prerequisite for trying to understand the political and social complexity of modern Ireland.
We took this tour the day we arrived in Dublin. We took the late afternoon tour and it did a great job of getting loosened up after the plane ride. The introduction provided by the guide on the history and politics of Ireland served us over our two week trip. We often referred back to things that he had told us. It is a great introduction to both Ireland and Dublin.
WONDERFUL WALKING TOUR WITH ALL THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION PROVIDED.
