What You Can Expect

Dublin Liffey River Cruise

Moored

Choose a morning or afternoon cruise time and head to the Boardwalk in central Dublin to embark. Each cruise can accommodate up to 48 passengers on any sailing, and can also accommodate strollers and wheelchairs. Grab your seat in the glass-encased saloon and enjoy panoramic views of the river as you set off.

Drift in warmth and comfort along the banks of the famous River Liffey and discover Dublin’s ancient history. Indulge in traditional Irish storytelling from your local guide as you pass the famous Ha’penny Bridge and the magnificent Custom House, Gandon's masterpiece of Georgian architecture from the 1790s. View the striking statues of the Famine Memorial and the Jeanie Johnston ship that successfully carried 2500 emigrants to America and Canada in the 1800s, and learn about some of Dublin’s modern landmarks such as Trinity College and the Spire on O'Connell Street.

By the end of the tour, you’ll have a better understanding of Dublin’s origin story, from Viking settlement 1000 years ago and Oliver Cromwell’s epic 17th century invasion, to the developmental boom of the industrial revolution and the urban regeneration of Dublin’s Docklands.

Your 45-minute tour disembarks at the launch point.

Cruise on the Liffey river in Dublin in a beautiful boat. View of some buildings and bridges until the last bridge that is before Dublin harbour. View on the new docks and modern buildings. The commentary in English is clear and explains some facts about the history of Dublin. Although it is impossible to see Dublin directly because the deck is closed, the view through the windows is good. It's a good experience.
