Great trip, very cold but beautiful. Guide, JP was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. Could do with a map of Kilkenny to get around though. Thanks!
This was a fantastic day - wasn't quite sure what all to expect. Just like all the Viator excursions this was excellent and Kikenny was such a great surprise - loved this city!
My family and I used Wild Rover tours twice during our stay in Dublin and have nothing but great things to say. J.P our tour guide for both trips was personable, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Huge shout out to our drivers Jerry and Jack for getting us where we needed to go safely without issue. Our first tour was Northern Ireland/Belfast. We elected to do the black taxi cab tour which I would not miss. Our driver Martin was so passionate, was a wealth of knowledge, and shared incredible personal experiences. The remainder of the tour with the rope bridge and giants Causeway were unbelievable. The January Ireland weather was perfect and we wouldnt have changed a thing. Our second trip was through Wicklow to Kilkenny. Kilkenny is a fantastic medieval town with great restaurants and shopping. The scenery at Glendalough was breathtaking. It was so peaceful and really showcases the beauty of Ireland. The hi-light of the day was our stop in Wicklow at Richies farm. Richie and his son Gavin gave us a fantastic demonstration of what life is like to be a sheep farmer. Their dogs Bruce, Jerry and puppy Rob showed off their skills herding the farms sheep. If you are a dog lover you will love this tour. All in all Wild Rover is great to work with. Pick up locations are easy to find, you will learn a ton and have grand fun along the way. In the words of J.P.-Class!
Our tour guide, Sarah was so knowledgeable. She really made the tour great! Glendalough was outstanding. Can't wait to go back and see more!
What a great day! Even though it started to snow, Richard and our driver rearranged the day so we could continue on. Richard is genuinely a lover of Irish history and his passion shows. It was a fabulous day. Thanks Richard!!!
From sheep dog demonstration to beautiful natural sights to Medieval city - great tour to see what Ireland has to offer outside of Dublin!
Great tour. Richard and Jack were great. Richard was a great guide, very knowledgable about Dublin as well as the locations we visited. He and Jack make a great comedic team. Loved the stop with sheep dog demonstration and it is a great addition. Also loved that Richard did a mini tour at the monestary and in Kilkenny city giving us more info about where we were visiting, that we wouldn't have gotten on our own, just by wondering around. But also loved that our mini tours did not take up our entire time in the cities, so that we could have time to wonder on our own. Would definitely do another tour with Wild Rover.
Best tour of all. Beautiful scenary very impressive ruins thought provoking history A MUST

Beautiful country, and loved the tour. We enjoyed Kilkenny. We saw Kilkenny Castle and had time to shop a little bit. The drive was very scenic. The driver and tour guide were very friendly and informative and pointed out a lot of interesting facts that kept us well informed and entertained.
Wonderful trip !Never felt rushed . Would have loved a full day in Kilkenny as it was so beautiful and rich with history, but had to fit in Glendalough which was an amazing site. We had time to explore and our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but so willing to share. Highly recommend
nice trip, a good chois eto see some of the most beautiful Englans landscapes and places
Beautiful scenery and pleasant sites to visit. This was a day well spent.
This is a great trip ! All three stops worth every minute of it Richard or tour guide was exceptional humorous and extremely well informed.
I rarely do bus trips, but the combination of our tour guide and the bus driver was outstanding. Would have been nice to stay in Kilkenny a little longer what a fantastic interesting city it is.
Awesome trip. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and kept us laughing!
Lovely day, well worth the time! Kilkenny City was my favorite city to visit in Ireland, lots of history, beautiful clean city. The drive through Wicklow Mtns was scenic, Glendalough has a lot of history as well. Loved the scenic walk to the lakes. Highly recommend this tour!
Great way to see a lot of amazing places in Ireland without the stress of driving. This tour included approximately 2.5 hours in Kilkenny City, a brief stop in the Wicklow Mountains, 2 hours at Glendalough National Park, and a 30 minute sheep herding demonstration. I also did the Cliffs of Moher tour which was probably more impressive, but also more time spent on a bus. Kilkenny is a really cool city with shopping and several historic sites. Wild Rover will give you a 30 minute tour and then you have 2 hours on your own. We visited the cathedral and round tower, and grabbed a nice lunch. Glendalough National Park has two beautiful lakes where you can take a walk around and enjoy the scenery. The final stop is the sheep herding demonstration which was a lot of fun. My only criticism and advice to people considering this tour is to board the bus at one of the first two stops. If you get on at the third stop the bus will be mostly full and you might have to ask solo passengers to move to sit with other solo passengers so that you can sit with your friends/family.
Excellent tour and tour company! I highly recommend using them while in Dublin if not for this tour for another.
beautiful, beautiful country! Ashley NOT spelled correctly! and John were a terrific guide and driver team! Full day with lots to see and enjoy - loved the sheep herding!
This tour exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, JP, and our driver, Jack, were great, keeping us informed and entertained. They shared lots of information about the destinations and the surrounding areas. I recommend the walking tours provided by JP and then use the remaining time to explore. Kilkenny was an adorable little city that was easy to walk around. The Wicklow Mountains and the surrounding towns were green and beautiful. Glendalough was an old monestary settlement were we literally felt like we were back in time to the Middle Ages. I recommend walking a mile to the second lake for great pictures. The sheep herding was incredibly interesting. Not only was it a sheep herding demonstration, but we learned a lot about the dogs role on the sheep farm and how they are trained to herd. The bus was very large with plenty of room with air conditioning and huge windows. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would gladly go on another adventure with these guys in a second!
