I would give this tour a 4.5. It was great to have multiple pickup locations and in convenient locations. Our guide was really great and informative about Ireland's history and points of interest on our journey to our various destinations. Our first stop was at the Titanic visitor experience they did say we could choose the Black Taxi tour however, we opted to stay with our original plan.
The Titanic Visitor Experience was a pretty good tour. It was a little disappointing in the beginning, but improved as it went on. There were some interesting parts, such as the ride, the tour of the rooms, the stories from survivors, and video of the underwater wreckage.
Next, we headed for coast, stopping first for a quick photo opt of Dunluce Castle for Game of Throne fans, before heading to our destination at Giant's Causeway. Had the rest of the trip been a big disappointment, the Giant's Causeway was worth it. The spectacular views were breathtaking. Pictures and word would not do it justice. It's an experience. The Giant's Causeway is comprised of polygonal columns of basalt that resulted from volcanic activity years ago, we're talking MILLIONS of years ago! However, I prefer the Irish legend that the rock formations were created by a giant.
Lastly, we headed to Carrick-a-Rede, a 200 year old rope bridge. While we enjoyed a fantastic day, I'm not sure I'd want to be crossing the rope bridge on a particularly windy day!! Still, the views from the island and walks around are just stunning! I was delightfully surprised that Larrybane Bay was such a pretty blue and clear. Also, a short walk is another Game of Thrones filming location for fans to check out, Larrybane Limestone Quarry.
This was an incredible day. Not nearly long enough at the Titanic Visitor Experience, but the Giants Causeway and walk across the Carrick A Rede rope bridge more than made up for that. Good tour guides and a comfortable bus made for a great experience.
Tour was excellent and our guide was fantastic. The drive takes you through some beautiful areas. In Belfast you are given the option of taking a black cap tour of the town or going to the Titanic Visitor Experience.
We did the Titanic which was very educational and went through the history of Belfast and its shipbuilding legacy. There is also an area to examine video of the Titanic as it rests now on the bottom of the ocean floor. The stories of some of those lost is truly heartbreaking.
About 2/3 of our tour chose the black cab option and I didn't hear a single one who was disappointed. They delve into the history of the troubles in Belfast and life there now.
Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede were both spectacular, but very busy. Not sure when the pictures on the internet were taken, but mine look similar if you add in about 100 other visitors to any given shot. It's definitely worth visiting though since it is a spectacular site. Carrick-a-Rede has a somewhat grueling walk out to it, but the scenery along the way makes up for that tenfold. The bridge was slightly shorter than I was thinking it would be, but every bit as high.
The bus was comfortable and had wifi available which is nice when you wish to post pics along the way.
Wild Rover Tours with Peter and Frank was AWESOME! They were very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed our time and didn't feel rushed at any of the stops. They went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience for all!
Delighted that we were able to tour the Titanic Museum a high-tech hands-on museum for adults and children.
Great guide, driver. Very timely. Full 9 hr. day. I would recommend!
Our driver and tour guide, Sarah, was absolutely the best! She knew a lot and shared many behind the scenes tidbits. Although the day was long and a lot of time was spent on the bus, it was well worth it. Two extra tips: 1 the Rope Bridge excursion was interesting, although the bridge was much shorter and more stable than I'd expected. Stunning views. and 2 if you include the Titanic Excursion and have only 90 minutes, you will need to speed through the early economic history of shipbuilding and get to the later parts of the exhibit which finally get to the Titanic.
Titanic Exhibit was very good. Giant's Causeway was absolutely amazing! A must must must see!!!
Would've liked to have a little more time at the Titanic Museum, but other than that it was a great tour!
A really nice journey, inforgettable! The giant causeway is for sure one of the most beautiful landscape i have ever seen! Thank you Richard guide and Derek driver!
JP and Paul were amazing!! Paul drove the bus like a pro and JP was informative and funny! We had beautiful weather which made viewing at the Causeway spectacular! The tour was nicely spaced giving plenty of time at each stop.
We signed up for this tour after our Cliffs of Moher tour. We had Jack, who was the driver and tour guide. He was amazing. So funny, informative. Just a great person. This tour was a long day, but it didn't feel that way with him. He was very entertaining, and quiet when needed, ex. sleeping. The Great Causeway originally wasn't on our to do list, but after Grainne and the cliffs, we decided to sign up. Soooooo... glad we did. I think we enjoyed this trip better. We still can't decide. The views were amazing, breathe taking. Only regret we had was we decided to do the black taxi tour instead of Titanic. VERY disappointing. That driver made us feel apart of his politics. Didn't like that. Two sides to everything. But the Causeway, A must see. We did 3 tours with Wild Rover, all was wonderful. I would definitely use them again.
Very good tour that was as long as the 13 hour schedule predicted. Guide kept us on time although less than two hours at the Titanic Museum is not enough. So much of real interest to see there. Should have shortened some of the rest stops for better use of time. Luckily, fairly few other tourists were at the Devil's Causeway or the rope bridge. Driver, John, was excellent and even gave good info when asked. Guide seemed to be a non-stop talker - to the driver who tried not to get engaged in conversation with him. Periodically gave info about sights but not as complete as other guides we've had. A well recommended tour to see a lot in one day.
The trip was great, very interesting and definitely worth doing. We had good weather for most of the trip but had some rain in the later half. Our tour guide Jack was exceptional. He was funny, informative and very friendly.
This was a fantastic tour! The tour guides were so kind and extremely knowledgeable about Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Titanic Museum was fascinating - I only wish we would have had more time there. Giant's Causeway was very neat to see. Unfortunately, due to the wind that day, we were unable to go across the bridge, but our guides did a great job of improvising and took us to a distillery and drove us along the coastline to make up for not being able to go to the bridge. The views were breathtaking! This is the perfect day trip and I would highly recommend it!
Long day but excellent. Could have done with more time at titanic
Driver and tour guide both excellent
Good value for money would highly recommend . Even weather was good
very friendly tour guide and driver. had a wonderful time. highly recommended it.
We had a really good day and we found all sites interesting. For me being an ex dockyard worker the Titanic Experience was a treat. Carrick-a-Reed and the crossing of the rope bridge gave us an experience we won't forget. While the Giant Causeway is a real wonder. We highly recommend this tour. It's worth it.
The weather was against us as storm Henry was in full force on the shores of the Giant's Causeway. Despite strong winds, the place is stunning. Instead of visiting Titanic Visitor Experience, I took the black taxi tour in Belfast, which revealed to be a great city tour, with our driver Tom telling the story of the long living conflict between catholics and protestants to this day. JP, Wild Rovers tour guide, made all the difference in this tour by telling us lots of information about Irish history.
wonderful way to see Belfast and Northern Ireland. Hopped on bus in Dublin and the driver and tour guide took care of everything else.
Highly recommend this tour! Rob tour guide and Paddy driver were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great day out. The Northern coast was breathtaking.
