This was a great trip. Paddy our tour guide was brilliant, and the restaurant he picked for lunch was great. Additionally, the places are beautiful.
This was a wonderful day trip! Guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. Waterford Crystal was very interesting and Kilkenny was a stop. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this trip. Liam was our guide and he was great. Liam took time to show us maps and go over all the details, he walked us through a lovely church and introduced us to the local butcher as we walked into Kilkenny. The short train ride around town was really fun and a great way to see the town without walking. We did not tour the inside of the castle, there wasn't enough time, I think I would have enjoyed that if we had time but it would have made the day probably too long. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Waterford Crystal tour, it is just amazing to see the craftsmanship involved in producing their crystal. I have such a greater appreciation of their crystal products. The town of Waterford was lovely and we had time to walk around with Liam and have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. It was a very long day by the time we got back to Dublin but it was very relaxing to go by train and overall very enjoyable. The guided tour takes all the guesswork out of planing and figuring out the trains on your own, plus Liam is full of knowledge and made the trip much better than it would have been on our own.
Liam was great! Nice trip
This was a great tour with an added variety with it being based off travel on a rail line. Our guide was Paddy, and he did a great job providing us an overview of the trip at the initial start of the trip and giving us details throughout the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed having the different pace on the rail vs the bus tours that we had done up to that point. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone!
Rail trip is the best way to go -more legroom and it was fun
From the time we met our guide Paddy at the Heuston train station early on the morning of our trip, until we returned that evening.
We felt we were in good hands. Beautiful scenery and interesting places to visit. Paddy was both witty and informative.
The rail tip is a great way to go!
We had an amazing trip to Waterford with Paddy as our guide. He was knowledgeable, so informative and we felt like we were in good hands the entire time. He even helped us flag a cab down at the end of the trip we had been standing in the wrong place!. The Waterford factory is amazing! The train was clean and fast and gave us a chance to see the beautiful countryside. Recommend it for sure!
This was a wonderful trip! Our guide, Brian, was both knowledgeable and personable. Our group was relatively small for this tour and we all ended up being friends. That means everyone - tourists and the guide. We exchanged stories and photos of families.
Brian went way beyond the normal guide information. He was giving backgrounds to all of the places we visited and he prepared us for them so we would be able to absorb everything upon arrival.
I highly recommend this tour especially if you are fortunate enough to get the same guide.
