Meet your guide in the morning and be prepared to get dazzled with impressive historical anecdotes and facts of Dubrovnik’s history. Begin at Pile Gate, one of three ways into the Stari Grad, or Old Town, and then stop at Onofrio’s Fountain, a multi-faucet drinking fountain connected to an aqueduct that has, for centuries, carried drinking water into the city.  Then walk a few seconds more and you are at the Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest still-functioning pharmacies in Europe. Wander around the 14th-century Gothic cloister and take in some of the art.

Stroll down the Stradun, the limestone-covered main pedestrian street of Dubrovnik and stop at the Renaissance-era palace, which houses the state archives. Right around you, see Orlando Column, the clock tower, which curiously shows the time in Arabic and Latin numerals and only changes every five minutes, the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St. Blaise, the patron saint of Dubrovnik. Across the square, walk a few minutes and visit the Cathedral of the Assumption, a beautiful Baroque sanctuary

Stroll around the narrow streets of the old town of Dubrovnik and experience the history and culture of this magnificent walled city. On this two-hour walking tour, your local guide will show you the city’s finest sights. Your tour begins at Pile Gate; walk along the elegant main street and visit the most important sights along the way. In front of the Pile Gate entrance, you'll see the circular Onofrio's Fountain, which is connected by aqueduct to a spring 7.5 miles (12 km) from town. Then see the Franciscan Monastery, containing a restored sculpture of the Pieta and a gorgeous cloister dating back to the 14th century. Continue walking to Dubrovnik's Renaissance highlight, the Sponza Palace, which now houses the State Archives. Other highlights on this tour include Orlando`s Column, the City Bell Tower, the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint. Continue across the main square, where you will visit Dubrovnik's baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the original one.

Interesting background on a fascinating city
CKJEngland
, Nov 2019
Karalina was attentive to the five of us on this tour. Her personal recollections of the Homeland War were chilling, especially as we are the same age so her stories of evacuation from her home to live in the safety of a hotel, family being injured, playing for hot shrapnel as the bombs dropped were in stark contrast to my childhood in the UK where I saw the bbc news reports. I applaud her for her in depth knowledge and neutrality over the warring factions, her explanations were factual and concise. We didn’t walk much, I was hoping for more exploring of the narrow side streets, but the content of ancient and modern history gave really fascinating context to the tumultuous history of the city. Following this tour we went onto the city walls and I was pleased to have learnt from her as we could see the evidence of the bombings more clearly, along with the older architectural narrative of the city. Given this is real factual history of Dubrovnik I would take this over an HBO tour any day. The small group was a great size. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in understanding the history of Dubrovnik.

We were very privileged to be only 3 in our French walking tour. Our French guide and Croatian born guide went beyond her duties and took us to special spots were a big tour would not go. Her passion for her country made this walking tour truly exceptional.

Our tour guide Marija was absolutely excellent. She was so enthusiastic about our tour and gave so much useful information to us. We were very fortunate that our group was only 3 people so she took us to a few extra places, which made it even better.I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the City.

The weather was a huge factor in my low score for this tour - pouring rain - Guide was good but hard to hear and because of the weather we had to cut the tour short. Not the best Viator tour I've ever taken.

Tour was excellent. We had previously been in the town for 2 days giving us a chance to explore the city on our own before we had taken the tour. During the tour we found out many things that were missed during our own exploration. Some of this was done on the tour or pointed out for further explanation after. Also the local guide was able to give several good recommendations for shopping and eating afterwards.
