Admire Sveti Stefan, a medieval island turned luxury hotel, and spend some time in Budva, a walled medieval town on the sea, like a mini Dubrovnik. Finish with an optional ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and then enjoy a final scenic drive on your way back to Dubrovnik.

Returns to original departure point
Get picked up at your hotel in Dubrovnik and then hop inside the air-conditioned vehicle to make the drive south to Montenegro. Drink in the views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dubrovnik Riviera and learn about the history and culture of the area from your local guide.
After crossing the border to Montenegro, twist and turn with the road, going around the large Bay of Kotor, and passing through charming villages along the way. Then stop in Perast, a lovely town at the base of St Elijah Hill. Consider taking the optional boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island to check out the baroque-era church (at own expense).
The next stop is Kotor, situated in a fjord and one of the most eye-pleasing Montenegrin towns. Once there, begin a walking tour that goes throughout the squares and narrow cobbled streets, taking you to historic churches such as the Cathedral of St Tryphon. Then take some free time to do some wandering — consider marching up the 1,350 steep steps to the San Giovanni Castle for an incredible view and photo opportunity — or sit down for a drink or a snack (at own expense).
After Kotor, drive down the coast further until you reach Sveti Stefan (St Stephen). Once a medieval fishing village with a small inlet connecting it to the mainland, Sveti Stefani is now a luxury hotel.
After gawking at the island-turned-resort, head to Budva, a 15-minute drive north of Sveti Stefan. This gorgeous walled city on the sea boasts attractive beaches and narrow cobbled streets. Take some free time to explore or sit down for a meal (at own expense).
Take a ferry ride across the Bay of Kotor and then enjoy a final scenic drive along the coastal roads of Montenegro to end your day. You’ll be returned to your Dubrovnik hotel.

Enjoyable but rushed

Pick up was half hour late due to someone not having their passport so not a great start, tour stated English but was also in Spanish! Not particularly a problem but maybe this should have been stated? The guide wasn't great with her "people skills' and came across quite rude at times, but maybe the language. You need to allow for border crossing delays which there is no control over, I enjoyed the places we visited however did find it was all a bit rushed, but Montenegro is definitely worth a visit, just maybe not with this particular tour operator that viator used for this trip.
Beautiful cities but LONG day

Prepare yourself for a 13-14 hour day, not the 10-11 mentioned. Our tour bus was over 30 minutes late picking the group up at the meeting spot. All of the stops were great and exactly as advertised but it seemed super rushed, they almost need to take off one of the stops. We were starving by the time we got back into the city around 9:30. I didn't feel like this tour company was the best out there, the other tour we did with a different group was much more organized with a slightly smaller group.
Huge Disappointment

The tour bus was OLD AND NOT AIR CONDITIONED, and this was the tour guide's words So, by 7:45AM, it was sweltering hot on the bus! Then, we were supposed to be picked up at our hotel. Despite me providing my hotel address for over a week in advance, multiple times, and sending several emails, I received no information about pickup. Then I had to call and was told I had to go to meet the tour. We had the stress and anxiety of finding a hotel in a foreign country to meet this tour. EVERYONE ELSE ON THE TOUR WAS PICKED UP. Even at the end of the tour, we had to find our way home from a bus stop that was a 20 minute walk from our hotel, and EVERY OTHER PERSON WAS DROPPED OFF. I want a refund of at least two of the three tickets I bought. I was told by so many people that Viatour is a good company, but this was a very bad experience!!!
Long hot day, great views!

You spend about 2.5 hours in Kotor, which is enough to walk around old town, hike up to the church (8 euros) but not enough time to hike up to the very top of the fort, also time for lunch. You spend 20 minutes on the island, was honestly a waste of time, and then a 15 minute the walk through another village to get back on the bus to Kotor. It didn’t take us long to get through the border (45 minutes in, 10 minutes out). It’s very hot in July! Bring sunscreen, water, and breathable clothes! A great day outside of Dubrovnik if you have time.
Absolutely A Must Tour

I was picked up just near my accommodation in a lovely mini bus and warmly greeted by our tour guide (so sorry I can't remember her name but lovely lady). Once through border control, we visited 3 places, all are breathtaking and absolutely worth a full day trip. Our guide was very informative, friendly and professional. We stopped in Budva for a beautiful lunch. A very worthwhile trip, so happy I went :)
Worth the visit

I enjoyed more Croatia but if you have one day to spare this visit is recommended. The bus was good the guide was knowledgeable, time to visit each location is enough.

the site selection was very good, the tour guide was well-informed and the ride was comfortable. my only issue is the long border crossing delays which eats up a lot of the travel time budget.
Pleasant Well Organized Day

Montenegro is beautiful and the trip was pleasant and well organized. Our guide rearranged the tour to keep us from getting caught in the traffic of a special event. Lived the cities we visited.
Time Spent Mostly on the Bus

Kotor was lovely, but the 2 other stops were mediocre to be honest. We also spent about 3 hours waiting in traffic at the border (no fault of the tour obviously). All this combined meant that of a 14 day tour we spent only 5 hrs off the bus (and only 2 in Kotor). The guide was very friendly though!
