Experience the beauty of Sani Pass via 4x4 vehicle on a day trip from South Africa into the mountain kingdom of Lesotho and back. Set out from Durban and pass through the exquisitely preserved Victorian city of Pietermaritzburg en route to the World Heritage Suni Pass, a steep pass rising 9,429-feet above sea level. Once crossing the border (bring your passport) visit a traditional Sotho village filled with huts built around a central area filled with livestock. Afterward, savor incredible views while enjoying lunch (own expense) at Africa's highest pub.
Sotiri from First Zulu Safaris is a guide extraordinaire! He and his son Christos and tour guide Pieter far exceeded our high expectations. In fact Sotiri and his son have become our friends and we happily engaged Sotiri for other trips and transports. We couldn't have been more pleased, and know that you will be too!
What an amazing day! Dont be intimidated by the duration of the drive up the Sani Pass, it is absolutely worth it, and theres no other way to see it. And, you do want to see it, trust me. This tour is so incredible. The company is great-reliable, ethical--highly recommend!
