Andy was probably the best guide we could get: he had anecdotes of his life in Perthshire as a child, which really made us learn about an aspect of Scotland that we didn and #39;t get elsewhere. He was funny and made us see great things that weren and #39;t included in other tours. Not sure if they and #39;re and #39;best of and #39; tho

The tour got off on a rocky start when 6 of our fellow tour goers were an hour late to the meeting place. This seemed an excessive amount of time for the rest of us to have to wait. However, once we actually left, the tour was really a great way to see some very beautiful parts of Scotland.

Our guide Kevin was an encyclopedia of Scottish history, and spent much of the hour drive from Edinburg to our first destination reciting interesting historical facts and pointing out historical landmarks along the way. Our first stop, Dunkeld, was a quaint, picturesque village that was fun to wander around.

Blair Castle was a mixed bag. After touring castles in other countries, the actual castle itself was rather boring. However, the grounds were spectacular. The cost of touring the castle and grounds is not included in the tour price. If you have seen castles before, pay the lower price for the grounds access and enjoy the fabulous gardens, lovely forested areas and highland cattle pastures.

Queens view was a beautiful overlook with stunning views. The hike a little over a mile through the Hermitage woodlands was beautiful, including spectacular waterfalls and lovely wooded areas with easily traversed trails.

Overall this was a great tour at a great price. Our guide Kevin was top notch and made the tour that much more enjoyable with his quick wit and knowledge. I would highly recommend this tour if you are spending time in the Edinberg area.
