The bus was good at keeping its schedule at each stop. If you got off, visited a site and waited for another bus to pick you up, it was prompt in showing up. Best attractions in my opinion were the Holyrood Palace and the Parliament Building.
Our cruise ship shuttle dropped us off very close to the Castle, so we started there. After touring the Castle the Hop-On Hop Off bus stop was right there and we handed in our pre booked tickets for the bus. It was an audio commentary but went into detail about all the stops. Great way to see the beauty and history of the City.
We enjoyed the bus tour all staff were really helpful. Lots information through the earphones provided & even TV with subtitles for visitors hard of hearing. It gave us a good insight into the attractions, but we could have walked to most if them & would have liked to see Royal Yacht Britannia, but this bus didn't do that stop, so for £15 each for the tour felt it was expensive.
