Stuart was a real gentleman and a excellent guide for this tour. His stories and knowledge of Edinburgh were excellent and really enjoyable. This tour would make a great starting point for your stay in Edinburgh.
Mr. Usher was very knowledgeable and had many stories to share! The cold weather put a damper on an otherwise excellent walking tour! Would love to do it again on a warm day where we could ask more questions without our teeth chattering!!!
This was a wonderful tour--Stuart was funny, sooo knowledgeable, and the time went by too fast! We were just 4 so it was just lovely to share the experience! This is a must for anyone who wants to know the inside stuff about Edinburgh and its rich history.
Completely enjoyed our tour with Stuart. With only 4 of us on the tour we had a very intimate view of Edinburgh. We were able to see and learn about places that you won't find on a larger tour. This is a must for anyone visiting Edinburgh.
Only four of us on the tour with Mr Usher, a delightful, well informed gentleman. Long walk of 3 hours, gentle pace and very interestingly presented.
This walking tour is an absolute must in our opinion! Stuart Usher's knowledge of his hometown is fantastic. We truly enjoyed going as a small group and learning much about Edinburgh and receiving recommendations for shopping and dining out and getting around. Many thanks to Stuart for enriching our visit to Edinburgh!
A very worthwhile and interesting experience. Stuart is a ranconteur of the first order and is exceptionally knowledgeable of Edinburgh. He will quiz you on architecture, provide humorous anecdotes and move at a pace that allows plenty of opportunities to take photos. He provided great insight into the age of Edinburgh's enlightenment as well as tales of the city's layout, closes and even Dr. Jekyll. Highly recommended as one of the first things to do in the city.
Informative and fun tour--great way to begin your stay in Edinburgh!
Stuart is a CLASS ACT very quaint and very informative. Love every moment!
Stuart Usher's walking tour was a wonderful way to spend three hours in Edinburgh. His family has an interesting history with the city, and Stuart is both passionate and knowledgeable about Edinburgh. Be sure to stop for coffee or tea and hear him tell about the story behind Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Absolutely fantastic! Stuart made this tour come alive. Great historical information about Edinburgh.
Very interesting. Learned lots of things about Edinburgh we never would have known!
Thoroughly engaging stories and a unique insight into the history of Edinburgh. Thanks Stuart for a most entertaining and educational tour. You really know your stuff!
Stuart is a colorful character who knows how to spin a tale or two. We all enjoyed our tour even with some rain. The others in the group thanked me for recommending this tour.
I would recommend this walking tour-most informative and great insights into Edinburgh history. Well worth the price.
Outstanding, eclectic, quirky. Stuart is a gem. Lots of history, anecdotes, legends, and stories from a true Edinburgh native. His energy is astounding. Loved the experience. Would go again if back in Scotland.
Stuart did a great job, we did this tour the day we arrived and it really helped us get our bearings!
Stuart was funny, warm and very knowledgeable about the Edinburgh past and present. The walk with him is the best way how orientate yourself in the city - and get a few juicy stories as a bonus :
Exceptional tour by Stuart Usher. Have your questions ready as this tour guide knows his Edinburgh history.
I signed up for a group tour and was lucky enough to have this dear man be my personal guide for three hours. We had a wonderful afternoon talking about Scottish history, his long family history, ending up at the Art Museum where he taught me something about Renaissance Art I had not known. A very charming, engaging, witty, and knowledgeable guide. I highly recommend his tour. Thank you, Mr. Usher. You were the highlight of my Edinburgh stay!
Stuart Usher is a treasure. His family goes way back in Scotland and he was chock-full of stories about the Edinburgh area that we had not heard in two previous trips there. What a delightful tour. You won't be disappointed.
This was a fantastic way to start our week in Scotland and Edinburgh!! Stuart is a fantastic tour guide and story teller! He weaved in history of Scotland and Edinburgh and made the relevant connections to the sites we were seeing! He's a terrific guide and provided a leisurely stroll through the city giving us an outstanding base of knowledge upon which to build upon for the rest of our week in Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside!! This tour is highly recommended!!
