We loved this tour and it had alot of variety. We went to a Castle, toured the Britannia yacht, and walked the Royal Mile. It was a full day and lots of variety

Excellent tour! Edinburgh is a beautiful city. This tour covers most of the highlights. As we need to take tender for this port, we left the ship early to ensure we got to the meeting place ahead of time. There were many buses parking there, we found our bus waiting at 8am for our 9am meeting time.

Met the tour driver once we were tendered in from the cruise ship. 1st stop, Royal Yacht Britannia - this was the yacht that the Royal Family used for years until it was retired. It was not at all as lavish as I thought it would be. It was very interesting. We only had an hour to do the tour which normally takes 1 1/2 hrs, so we had to speed walk thru the boat and the narratives. There were many photos of the Royal Family - the best one was where Princess Di was greeting her boys.
Next - He took us through the Queen's Park, which was gorgeous and huge, with lots of walking paths and rolling hills. Looked like a great place.
Final destination - Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile - we had 4 hours to tour the castle, walk around the Royal Mile, shop and eat lunch. There were a lot of great shops to check out and buy souvenirs. The Castle and the Royal Mile were filled with lots of tourists and some street entertainers. It was a nice afternoon.
Our driver got us back in plenty of time to catch the tender back to the ship.

A lot of fun and very interesting sites. I would recommend this tour, although Edinburgh was very crowded, our driver got us to where we needed to be.

You sure don't have to worry about this tour company leaving without you! We waited almost a half hour before we started our trip into Edinburgh. There were a couple people who had trouble locating the bus and were quite late. We had a great bus driver. Unfortunately it cut a half hour off our day. We only had 1 hour to visit the ship Brittania. Definitely could have used more time. I rushed through .we had about 3 hours or more of free time, so we could wander up the royal mile and enjoy what we wanted. It was a great day

This was fine and a simple overall tour of the city but there wasn't a lot of time beyond that as most of the tour was spent at the Royal Yacht Britannia and then Edinburgh Castle. Still worth your time to get a historical context

The tour was good - just happened to be during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, so VERY crowded.

Driver was knowledgeable but this was more a city tour with stops at Edinburgh castle on your own and the Britannia Yacht on your own. Would rather do a Hop On/Off circuit which would have been much cheaper.

Poor organization. So much wasted time: Co put our name twice on the list. Driver didn't notice and we were waiting on ourselves sitting in the bus. Left for tour 30 min later than scheduled. Driver-guide Paul didnot escort people to entrances. Some women got confused at the Yacht Britannia complex and we left from there 20 min late. Before trip I inqured twice if admission tickets should be bought in advance, but Co replied that encourages that tickets to be bought at the entrance. Probably it would be better to be done via group tickets service? But our guide didn't leave bus at all. Only at the Castle we waste 30 min in queue for entrance tickets. Now, visit to Holyrood Palace was the main reason we booked this tour here and not from the ship, but driver tried many times to convince people to skip it with other options such as Parlament or extended time in Castle and he put it on vote?! finally bus voted for Palace and we went to there was not enough time to visit gardens. Should it be like this? Driver specialized on tours to Scotish Highland and his agenda for this tour to show us Edinburgh just at a glance. Driving route was not sufficient either. Came back to ship on-time.
