This was a great tour. The driver was interesting. The Highlands were sooo beautiful! Make sure you bring snacks. The lunch included was sufficient, but if you were really hungry, you'd have to buy something more. The boat ride at Loch Ness was lovely.
It was a longish day, but it was worth it. I'd highly recommend this tour.

It is very worth the money, the scenes were beautiful. The couch was comfortable and the driver Julian was very knowledgeable. The only thing is that on our way back we stopped for bathrooms which the ones locally were closed, some of the restaurants didn't except us to use the bathroom, if only the ones locally will be opened for more time. But overall very nice experience.

Great tour if you're short on time in Scotland. Kenny, was the tour guide/driver for the trip and he was very entertaining with his stories about famous landmarks and Scottish culture. Do keep in mind that you will be spending a lot of time on the bus as the locations are far from Edinburgh. The sights are amazing and are a definite must see.

Definitely ambitious trip. We covered over 500km in 12 hours, but Graham our tour guide was fantastic, funny and very informative about Scottish history and culture. If we had extra time, this would've been better as a two-day excursion, but anyways we are more than glad we took it. At our stop points, Graham had excellent tips on what to eat, see, where to go which was very helpful.
Highly recommended!

This is definitely a FULL-DAY trip, lasting about twelve hours from beginning to end. Our guide Gillian was very enthusiastic about sharing her homeland with us and provided a lot of interesting information about the sites we were visiting as well as the history, culture, cuisine, and music of Scotland. Some might think there is too much time spent on the bus, but there is no getting around it if you want to visit these sites from Edinburgh. It is gorgeous countryside so I fully enjoyed our time on the bus and Gillian kept it interesting with all she had to tell us. We got off the bus and took a short hike up to a scenic outlook on the way to Loch Ness and stopped in a small village for a snack on the way back. These two stops broke up some of the bus travel. A light lunch of sandwich, cookies, and water was provided when we got to Loch Ness. We took the boat out onto the Lake, while others opted to have a more substantial and leisurely lunch in a restaurant. The boat ride was pleasant, and one of the boat mates gave a fun presentation about the history of the lake and Nessie.

Our tour guide was Rich, very good explanations and a very jovial man, amazing how he drives and gives the tour yes he does both! at the same time. He also gave us handy tips about the restaurants and general to-do things in Edinburgh. The Highlands was very beautiful and this tour is a must-go, because it covers everything for a first-time tourist and includes food, all for less than 50 GBP per head.

Thanks to Rich once again!

Fabulous tour. Worth every penny. Our tour guide, Sinclair, was great. He told us really interesting stories and made jokes along the way. The whole trip was well organised we arrived at the meeting place and registered we were there, and bought our Loch Ness boat cruise tickets in their shop they are 14 each, and you can use cash or card. Student discount reduces the price by a pound, so bring student cards if applicable to you. There were two coaches. Coach had air conditioning, and was comfortable. I recommend sitting on the left hand side of the coach to the right as you board, as I think the views are a bit better. And get a good window! Lastly, avoid sitting under the sunroof/escape hatch, as a bit of water got in during our trip and someone got a bit soggy.

The route was great, and we saw a good range of Scottish weather, from torrential rain to beautiful sunshine and clear skies. We stopped at Callander for half an hour, Glencoe for five minutes, and then at Fort Augustus for two hours where we ate our complementary lunch and then went on the hour long Loch Ness cruise. On the way back, we stopped at Spean Bridge to see the Commando Memorial, and then at Pitlochry Caffe Scozia does nice scones!. There is less commentary on the return journey to Edinburgh, but everyone is quite sleepy by that point, so it's not really an issue.

In terms of opportunities to take photos, if you get a good seat with a good window see advice above, it is possible to get good photos from within the bus, provided your camera is half decent! Phone cameras probably aren't good enough. The stops mentioned above were opportunities to get out of the coach, and obviously there are photo opportunities then. I am a keen photographer, and I was happy!

Overall, we had a wonderful time from start to end. Thoroughly recommended for those that want to see the Highlands. We enjoyed the Loch Ness cruise too, and also recommend that.

This excursion is highly recommended! Ben our driver and tour guide was funny and well informed. The bus journey didn't seem that long as Ben kept us entertained with interesting facts about Scottish history and music. The highlight definitely was Glencoe.

Kenny, our tour guide, was a never ending source of all things Scotland. He brought the 12 hour trip to life with his awesome personality, hysterical stories and upbeat energy. If you take this tour- request Kenny! The food they served was a great addition, the bus was clean, and the tour- perfect!!

I did the full day Loch Ness tour with Caitlin and Kristy, it was such a fantastic day and they were both adorable and friendly, lively and sweet and I had such a wonderful time. Two days later I did another tour in southern England and wished so much I could have had these two girls back for that tour. They made the entire experience fun and entertaining and with a lot less stress than on the other tours. Such a beautiful drive and the highlands were truly magical. Thanks again ladies for such an amazing trip!

Scenic drive from Edinburgh City Centre to the Scottish Highlands. Short stop at Callander and see the Highland Cows. Another stop at Glencoe and Commando Memorial. See Ben Nevis, highest mountain in British isles. The weather was perfect sunny with mists and drizzle. Finally, an hour stop at Fort Augustus. You may opt to take the boat tour or explore the Town. This tour includes free sandwich water. Perfect if you are going for the boat tour, as there will be no opportunity to eat after. We did not take the boat tour but explored the town. If you explore town, I suggest to eat at Monster Fish and Chips - personally this is the Best fish n chips ever This is the only fish n chips in the area. The batter was very nice and and you can taste the freshness of the fish. Short stop at Tulloch before heading back to Edinburgh. See the iconic bridges on the way too. Thanks to our Driver and Tour Guide Chris P. - Haggis Adventures. He gave us loads of information about Scotland and Scottish History.

My friend and I had a lovely experience touring Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands. Our driver Ben was very informative, and we had a fun day on the bus. It is a long ride, so definitely go to the washroom when there is an opportunity. Our first stop was in Calendar, and I recommend you getting snacks or eating while there. The lunch break isn't until you reach Loch Ness and my friend and I were really hungry at that time. The lunch was sandwiches, Scottish shortbread and water. Pretty basic, but we were so hungry that it didn't matter. wish we could have stopped to take a picture of a highland cow, but with so much to see and do, we were tight for time. For people who are short on time and still want to go see the famous Loch Ness and all that the Highlands have to offer, I would definitely recommend this tour.
