Very enjoyable tour. Guide was good. Bus was very nice. Took the cruise on Loch Lomond where we saw large old estate homes on the shores. Stirling Castle was very impressive -my favorite part of the tour. Our driver took a slight detour to let us see Doune Castle which was used in the filming of Outlander. Driver took another detour after coming back to Edinburgh to show us the three bridges including the famous railroad bridge. The trip was also good for seeing some of the beautiful scenery of Scotland. Good tour. Would recommend.
Stuart was an awesome tour guide, full of lots of historical info and he played some great songs for us. Stirling Castle was my favourite part of the tour. The little village of Luss was pretty. Great lunch at Woolen Mill Shop. Well worth the money for this tour.
From the moment we stepped onto the bus until we made our exit at the end of the day we were treated with extraordinary service and assistance. Our driver-guide, Pat Douglas, made the experience exceptionable. He provided an incredible amount of knowledge and humor to the trip.
Although the weather prevented us from cruising the lake, this tour was amazing. Laura was an excellent driver/guide. Luss and Aberfoyle were interesting stops. The Stirling Castle is very small but still quite interesting. The views from there were great.
Outstanding tour and tour guide. It was a terrific day for all of us... my children (17,12,9) loved it too. Very comfortable bus.
We had a Fantastic time with Gary, our tour guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited, told us fascinating stories as we drove along between stops. Lunch was great fun, eating, chatting and getting to know why each person booked the tour. Gary made the trip Fun! He told jokes, had a few sing-alongs in the van and told stories in such an entertaining way. I especially enjoyed signing along to Loch Lomond as we drove away from said place. Gary even answered all of our silly questions with such fun and wonderful wit. Our Gary went above and beyond getting us close-up to the doors and entrances to the Loch Lomond ferry, the Loch Lomond pier, that adorable little village we stopped by, Sterling Castle, etc. He knew who to ask and what to ask them in such a way that we were first in line for so many things. The van seats were comfortable and I like the way the seats towards the back were elevated so everyone had a good view. I especially enjoyed the USB plugs at our seats so we could charge our electronic devices during our journey. You never know where or when you will need one of find one when while on vacation. The pick up spot was a good location as in Scotland you never know if it will be dry or not and there were shops open for us in the area. There was a last minute road closure when we came back and Gary made sure to get us each Very close to where we wanted to be that evening. The tour exceeded our expectations. Thank you! Thank you Gary!
We had a wonderful day with our exceptional guide Patrick. I felt very safe with Patrick at the wheel, while listening to his interesting and comical stories and historical highlights along the way. I do wish we had a little more time at Sterling Castle, it went by too fast. The lunch stop was a little too short also because the restaurants get swamped and seemed understaffed. Bring an umbrella, it's bound to rain somewhere along the way. I highly recommend this tour.
This was a wonderful tour. We got to see the Scottish highlands, Loch Lomond and the castle. Our guide was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable and funny. He also played Scottish music for us. I would recommend to anyone.
We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us many interesting tips. The route was well planned and we saw a lot of Scotland in a one day tour.
Wonderful trip! Great experience! Our guide as very knowledgable and informative. The ferry on the Loch is a must!

It was a wonderful tour...although we wished it was longer! The area to meet for the tour was very convenient from where we were staying.....near the Edinburgh Castle.
This tour was fantastic! We had a great guide named Gary who was very knowledgeable about the area. He taught us a lot about every place we went but in a friendly way that didn't feel like a school lecture. He was open to questions and even played a little local music for us to get the 'flavor' of the area. The scenery was beyond description and must be seen to be believed. Frankly I was surprised that the cost of the tour was so low. I'm sure all the information you need is in the description of the tour, but be aware that the cost of the cruise on Loch Lomond is not included in the tour price, but is WELL worth the added cost. Be sure you take a jacket because it is quite cold out on the loch, and VERY windy. I simply cannot recommend this tour highly enough. I would take it again and again if I am lucky enough to be in the beautiful country of Scotland.
Barry was excellent tour guide, very entertaining. Bit of added excitement along the way - which wasn't Barry's fault handled very well by Barry. One thing I found dissapointing, would have liked more time at Stirling Castle, not enough time to complete 45min tour. Would certainly book your tours on next visit to Edinburgh
The Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond were wonderful sights. The boat tour around the loch was beautiful and fun even though it was chilly. The only thing I would change would be for the tour guide to inquire about bathroom stops, using the air in the bus and turning down the music. We could hear him when he was talking but the music was a little annoying and the bus was really hot. There were never bathroom breaks in between sights which was hard on an 8.5 hour tour.
Guide was good, gave a lot of information along the way about Edinburgh
Eric was a wonderful guide with jokes, history and great music along the way. What a top day indeed! Looking back at the photos of the day that we took, they just don't do the trip justice. We had such a great time and saw scenery that will remain in our minds and hearts for the rest of our lives.
The tour left with all the passengers a bit early, so we had some extra time. The driver/guide, Hamish sorry if I didn't write it correctly was great, telling us about the countryside, the history and even quoting some Scottish poetry and songs.
The weather was quite good, so it was nice. We made several stops to see the countryside, a lake and some cows, not only at the stops that were planned. It was great to have some flexibility and take our time. There was enough time at the Sterling castle to visit and have lunch, and then I did the cruise about 9 pounds. It's nice as well, even if it's not compulsory.
So, a really nice atmosphere, nice views, great guide.
It's a basic trip in the Scottish countryside.
We were in a small coach that had so many rows that there was not enough knee room for a comfortable ride - and it was a 6 hour tour. Our tour guide was Italian - he was a nice fellow but only knew what he had been taught or read in tour books. He never asked about our comfort in the bus and played music at a painfully high volume. He was asked twice to turn it down. We would not recommend Timberbush based on this experience. However, we had a great experience on Heart of Scotland tours - good equipment with a knowledgeable tour guide/driver. Just sorry we didn't realize and use them for this tour, as well.
This tour was especially disappointing since the Viator tour the day before was go good. Our tour guide/bus driver was a pleasant fellow but did not have control of the tour. When we arrived at the bus for Loch Lomond, it was about to rain so we opted to stay on the bus for the short drive to an area where we could walk out to the Loch. Another bus was parked in front of our bus and the driver could not arrange for the other bus to be moved. We sat there for about 45 minutes! By the time we arrived at the other stop, we had about 20 minutes to find the Loch and take pictures. On the return trip, someone asked if we could stop at the Monty Python castle. We spent so much time there that we missed the last guided tour of Sterling Castle - the other highlight of the tour. Very disappointing tour.
