Weather cool to cold but good for time of year.
Highly recommended for those wanted to experience the Scottish highlands and don’t have too much time for it!

We were not onboarded for family trip with our kid being under little age of 7 and neither was refunded our amount, very upset with policies and also as mentioned by tour operator we didnt get refund and lost 200£ of entire trip cost
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons we are unable to allow anyone under the age of 7 on our buses. We make this clear when customers are booking tickets and again in our FAQs. I appreciate this was frustrating for you but unfortunately there was nothing we could do in this situation. Kind Regards, The Hairy Coo Team

Stories by the driver and Glencoe. The driver was a great story teller and Glencoe was beautiful. The drive was wonderful I'd you don't mind sitting. Loch Ness was interesting as was the whole Caledonian canal system.

Thank you Stephen and the Harry Coo Tour!
Frances_D, Aug 2022
Stephen was an exceptional tour guide, narrating our day with extensive intriguing Scottish history as we took in the majestic Highlands. In addition his sharp wit, humor and an amazing variety of Scottish music made for a fun seamless adventure. The 12 and a half hour journey flew by. There were times we would have loved to stop and have had more time to visit a historic spot, but the boat trip and lunch at Inverness was wonderful and well done at the end of the day. It was a relaxing and fabulous tour and a great way to get an overview of Scotlands beauty and to learn of its rich history. Thank you Stephen and the Harry Coo for making our trip so memorable.

The perfect day trip to the Highlands
Amy_B, Aug 2022
This was a lovely experience. Our tour guide John was extremely fun and personable. I enjoyed listening to his stories about the history of Scotland and pointing out historical monuments. There were plenty of opportunities to get off the bus and stretch/get food/use the bathroom and I never felt uncomfortable on the bus because of this. I would recommend this to anyone who has yet to see the Highlands!
Great Tour Guide and Amazing Views!
Lauren_D, Aug 2022
We had a great experience touring the highlands with Jim! He was a fantastic tour guide and filled the drive with Edinburg stories and history and pointed out all of the notable scenery and locations we passed, we learned a ton! The views from the bus are absolutely breathtaking so even though the tour is a lot of driving, it’s completely worth it! Some stops were a bit short and rushed feeling, but I don’t think that has anything to do with Hairy Coo - it’s just a lot to squeeze into one day!
Fun Highlands DayTrip
Samantha_P, Aug 2022
We really enjoyed our trip to the Highlands and Loch Ness. Our driver/tour guide Jim was brilliant. He had so many interesting and entertaining stories of Scottish history to enthrall us with throughout the journey, his knowledge was so good! There were plenty of stops for photo opportunities and it was just nice to sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst being entertained by Jim on our journey. We went on the optional 1 hour boat cruise on Lochness and enjoyed spending some time at Fort Augustus which is very pretty with plenty of places to grab some food. It was a long and enjoyable day, excellent value, and we got back to Edinburgh for around 8.30pm. We had a fabulous day and would highly recommend. Thank you to Jim and the Hairy Coo too.

Stunning from start to finish
Barbara_K, Aug 2022
Our tour guide, Jim, captivated us with stories of lure and legend from start to finish and made the 12 hour tour not only educational but fun! The sites were stunning and gave us an appreciation for the lowlands and the highlands. There were frequent stops and beautiful towns to explore. The Loch Ness boat tour was well worth the extra fee. And the town of Port August is beautiful with plenty of shops if you opt not to go on the boat. Everything was well organized and choreographed.

This trip is a MUST!!
Elizabeth_K, Aug 2022
Our tour guide Stephen was FANTASTIC!!! Every story was engaging and pertinent to the area we were in or driving through. He was also hilarious and had a sound track of Scottish music to accompany each historical story. And nothing is more stunning than the Scottish Highlands. Nothing!!! This trip is a must!!!
A tour you won’t forget!

Great stories and playlist! I wish I could bring Hamish, the Hairy Hoo, home with me. Best excursion we have had yet! Thx, Brian! (I would walk 500 miles…..😂)
