Highly recommend for a day trip! You get three hours to explore St. Andrews and you get to stop along the way at different villages on the cost. Small tour is the best, because you have more interaction with the guide and people on the trip.

Lovely area, and interesting history. The guide Mark, was very knowledgeable and funny and provided lots of information and other hints on tours and travel. Must see is the ruins of the St. Andrew Cathedral and Castle and the joint ticket was extra but worth the 9 Pounds. St Andrews is a nice little town to wander and good food and shopping can be done. If you have time stop in for a wee nip of whiskey!

Great tour! We made several stops at beautiful coastal towns on our way. Our guide Gary was great, he gave background information and stories to pretty much everything we saw along the way, very knowledgable and personable. St. Andrews was beautiful and we had plenty of time there. Would recommend!

St. Andrews is a cute little town with lots of shops and restaurants. We drove through the famous golf course and saw the university too.

This was a very memorable experience...the route, the stops but most especially our guide GILLIAN. Her information was a grand mix of history overview/context and detail about the actual location. A very warm and engaging gal who kept us entertained as well and putting the history pie together!
The small, picturesque fishing villages,en route, are just magical...the time in St Andrews was a great balance of golf-vs-general interest. Great hints on where to find wonderful fish and chips. A perfectly balanced day out and a very memorable commentary!
Thank you Gillian...you really should be onTV!

Excellent tour! Rose was an amazing tour guide - so incredibly knowledgeable about Scottish history and a wonderful storyteller. She was flexible, and very interactive with both adults and children. Loved the small tour bus - much more enjoyable going with a small group. Loved this tour!

Arrived in Edinburgh and had a bit of trouble locating the meeting place, most buildings did not have street numbers. But we made it and talked to Gary, great guy, very welcoming. Then we got on the bus with our guide, Rose. She was warm and welcoming, ensuring everyone was relaxed and ready for our day long trip. Rose was a delightful storyteller, much more than a guide, also playing music throughout her monologue. It helped create an atmosphere evocative of the setting. She even entertained us just going down the highway. I definitely would recommend this tour and highly recommend Rose.

What a great day. The Villages of Fife were many. The town of Anstruther was our second stop. Make sure you have lunch at Anstruther Fish Bar. The fish is out of this world! The 3 and a half hours we had at St. Andrews was well spent. Have your picture taken on Swilken Bridge where the iconic golfers have stood. Since the course is public you're allowed, even without golfing the Old Course. Just be respectful of the golfers. If you don't know your golf etiquette either read up on it or attend a PGA tour event so you don't embarrass yourself or upset the golfers. We also visited the British Golf Museum minimal charge, St. Andrews University, and the Palace and Cathedral ruins. Our guide was Patrick who provided facts and suggestions. He was safety conscious and knowledgeable. This is a fun trip.

The guide was outstanding, one of the best in my many years of travel. He had great knowledge and imparted it with all the charm of a good storyteller. The music he played was a special highlight that set this tour apart from others.

We saw so many incredible little villages and interesting spots all day! Our guide Hamish was certainly an expert in the area and knew a great deal about the kingdom of Fife. He kept us on task and tried to get as many stops in as possible, but wanted us to have enough time at St. Andrews as well. Despite the rather dismal weather of the day, we really enjoyed this tour! I would recommend it!
