Loved it , Loved Scotland. Make sure you see this Castle if it is the only one you see in your whole trip. A must.
Loved all the interaction actor portals. It really brought history to life! Beautiful castle.
Great castle to tour. The re-enactment characters were interactive and gracious and the castle itself was fascinating and beautiful! We highly recommend this tour!

Everything about Stirling Castle was wonderful. The village of Stirling was marvelous I wish I could have spent more time there.
try to schedule your visit around the rain as best as you can! we loved the museum part!
Fantastic castle that tied in historically to all things Royal in Scotland, Windsor and London. It was a fantastic starting point for information as the history of the royals unfolded.
Wonderful tour of this historic landmark. Our guide was great. Views of the surrounding area were spectacular.
Beautiful castle a must see full of history that shaped Scotland to what it is today. Some say the heart and soul of Scotland, with many great battles that had been fought here.
Love the view outside the castle.
Accessible if are coming with own transport, only need to pay 4 pounds for the parking.
The free guide is interesting and will explain to you about everything of the castle.
Pretty peaceful with beautiful view.
The staffs are all very friendly and helpful.
This was the second castle we saw in Scotland and it's just a short drive from Edinburgh. worth the time and money to see it.
A enjoyable visit. Self guided. The room exhibits were done well. It seemed like everything had been recently cleaned and painted. If visiting from Glasgow or Edinburgh do advance planning. Rail service to Stirling very good cabs from the train station to the castle we immeditly available cab service back to the train station was lacking on our visit and we walked back to the station. You might want to plan to have lunch in town near the station. There were a lot of fast food stores, pubs, and restaurants just two blocks from the station.
The castle and guided tour where great only wish we had a little more time there.
interesting museums with property of highlanders. Very scaring prisons.
I do think it's worth visiting the castle though on the day we went the weather was poor and I get the feeling that at the time we went, 11/8/16. that perhaps they are doing some sort of refurbishment as many of the rooms were empty. I didn't expect it to be fully furnished and decorated, but it did feel lacking. There are some lovely murals and so forth to see on the walls and a few character actors walking about. I went to enjoy the castle itself, which I did, and the surrounding views from the battlements are fantastic, especially looking over to the Wallace monument. There is an interesting graveyard right next to the castle carpark and some beautiful buildings all the way down the hill, some shaggy-haired cows grazing in the fields below which were adorable to see. I'm glad I went.
Not really worth buying in advance as you have to line up in the same line as everyone else to convert your prepaid ticket into a regular ticket. So I was kind of annoyed having to line up.
