The castle gardens, grounds, and interior were wonderful even for non-Potter fans. Holy Island, the church, ruins, and village were amazing! Time is always a factor when you want to see everything, but this was a well-planned trip. I highly recommend it!

Felt like the Viking Coast part was nice - beautiful little village, very touristy. Interesting church/ cemetary. Would not rush to go back there. No discussion by our guide Helen of the Viking aspect of the stop..

Ainwick castle was beyond spectacular. Fantastic tour on grounds, Harry Potter, Downton fans will love it...Regarding Potter, need to be there for the Quiddich training, which is pretty much for kids 8 and younger.

Enjoyable tour - a lot of driving though. Alnwick Castle would appeal especially to Harry Potter fans. Great guide.

Great tour. We had a great tour guide who was very informative. He took us to Holy Island where the Vikings first landed. We got to try mead from Lindesfarne and saw Bamburgh Castle. Afterward, we went to Alnwick Castle and spent about three hours there. The castle had a giant treehouse restaurant, museums, and activities like broomstick training. It was interesting to see where they filmed parts of Harry Potter. All in all, well worth it and I would highly recommend it.
