Didn't know what to expect on the day, but from start to finish found this an extremely professional and we'll organised day. Organised via Viator, the bus company taking us on the Whisky Tour was Rabbies. The staff from Rabbies that we dealt with were all friendly, helpful and professional. Our Tour Guide, a young lady called Jude was outstanding. The bus was clean, comfortable and Jude kept it at a comfortable temperature at all times. She was very informative, pointing out places of interest, her story telling and historical knowledge was brilliant and will never be forgotten. We never felt rushed at any part of the day and we're given plenty time to enjoy ourselves at the Distilleries and when we stopped for lunch. I would highly recommend both Victor and Rabbies - Judesign was a credit to both companies.
Absolutely wonderful experienced. My driver Juliet is very helpful and she's able to tell all the histories and answer all of my questions. She is super nice. The trip include 2 distillery and I especially like the whisky tasting at Glengoyne, although I have to pay extra 10 pounds for 2 shorts of whisky tasting but it's worth it. The trip include a little bit of sightseeing on the way to the distillery and we have lunch at the local restaurant which was very good. I would highly recommended my friend to join this tour. it's definitely worth it.
Fantastic tour with Jude! Very knowledgeable and excellent communication skills did not talk too much, great story telling voice, incorporated music, approachable. The tour itself was lovely. Both distilleries were interesting in their own ways, Glengoyne was beautiful! Quaint town for lunch and photo opportunities during the drive to and from places. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent experience for everyone, even better whisky lovers. Jude, our driver was awesome. Thanks Jude!
It is important to note that both distillery tours are an additional fee you need to paid to the distilleries themself, but otherwise this is an excellent tour. When you do pay for the tours, I and #39;d encourage you to take the second options, as it means you and #39;ll be tasting a second whiskey per visit.
This was a great all-day activity. Not only did we get to visit two distilleries, where we learned a lot about the production of Scotch single-malt, but the drive through the countryside was beautiful. The tours and tastings are an additional expense, but the cost was nominal and certainly worth doing.
Only made one of the two distilleries, where we bought 3 bottles of excellent Highland whiskeys. Then our guide, Mike, mentioned we would see Doune Castle very close to the second distillery. For Outlander fans, that is Castle Leoch!! He dropped the people interested in the distillery there, and took the rest of us to the Castle, which we were able to tour. Bought a Fraser tartan plaid there and was immensely happy! Mike was the best, telling of Scot/Brit history most of the way
My husband is a whisky lover and enjoyed this trip very much. The driver James was very nice and instructive. The whisky that we tasted was fantastic and lunch was delicious.
Fantastic trip, and our tour guide was first rate. Definitely worth the price. As other commenters have noted, the distillery tours and tastings are not included in the price, but are fairly modest. Pay a bit extra for the three tastings!
This was a terrific experience whether you are a scotch fan or not and Paul was a fun tour guide! We visited Glencoyne first which was in production provided a great tour of the facilities and the tastings were excellent! Deanston was not in production but was still a good tour. I would have maybe opted for a Distillery that was in production but it was a good example of how different the Distillery's can be. Lunch could have been a better experience as it appeared the restaurant was prepared for the tours that descended upon it so the service was slow....The food was excellent but the slow service limited our time to wander around Loch Lomond! Still - I highly recommend this tour!!!
Heather our guide was amazing!!! The tour was great... the whiskey even better
Brilliant driver/guide. Both whisky distilleries were interesting experiences especially the tastes. I would use Rabbies, who did the tour, for other tours of Scotland based on this experience.
This was a fantastic day of touring 2 great distilleries along with a beautiful relaxing drive through some fantastic Scottish scenery. Our tour guide, James, did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable!! I would highly recommend this.
My wife and I really enjoyed this tour, not only for the information about the Distillery but the countryside and tour guide information were excellent. We would do this all over again
Our family of four 2 adult sons had a tremendous time on this Rabbie's tour. Our guide Richard was outstanding, entertaining and informing us throughout. Both distilleries were terrific. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the whiskies. The views along the way were spectacular, and Loch Lomond was lovely. We would highly recommend this tour!!
Very good experience. Our guide, Mike, told us about the history of sights we passed and about the current political and economic climate of the country. This was one of the best day trips we've been on. And the distillery tours were great. It was nice to see an historic distillery as well as a new one. Strongly recommend purchasing the double tasting at each.
Absolutely great! Didn't know until after I bookedthat the tastings were additional, but still well worth it. I'm not a whisky drinker, but the husband is. I still really enjoyed being taken through the history and process. Paul was very informative about Scottish history and really made the day. Also met a lovely couple who we shared a table for lunch. Definitely recommend this tour
Our tour guide Jeff was very nice and had all the right information. A great way to see Scotland's countryside with a little whisky!
This tour was fantastic! Our driver, Mike, was so knowledgeable and friendly! He regaled us with the tale of Mary, Queen of Scots on the drive to and from our destination. It set just the right tone as we traveled through the countryside. The distillery tours did not disappoint, and the place we stopped at for lunch was so quaint and beautiful! I highly recommend this tour for any whiskey enthusiast.

First of all, Sandy from Rabbie's was a truly stellar guide! He was so knowledgable and provided really great commentary during all aspects of the journey. I also loved that he played Scottish folk music on the way back to Edinburgh, so lovely. Perfect mix of taking care of the logistical details and letting us have free time. Glengoyne was a magical place - didn't want to leave. Not so impressed with Deanston though, might be nice to choose another distillery in the future.
We had a fantástico time. Our guide was friendly, very well informed, very keen to help us and make the best out of our time. In fact, Sandi was a fantastic host.
Everything we wanted, two different distilleries, a nice guide and a small group.
