A great day trip to see some beautiful countryside and of course taste some great whisky! Our tour guide Amy was fantastic and had a great sense of humour. Definitely recommend!
This tour was amazing and the tour guide was fantastic and made the one day trip fun. The whisky was very smooth. A nice trip
This was a great tour! Keith was an amazing tour guide and I really enjoyed his anecdotes about Scottish football on the drive to the distilleries. He does quite a few different whisky tours and was very knowledgeable about the different regions for whisky and what each of the regions means for the different tastes and distilling processes. Would absolutely recommend to a friend, and try to get Keith if you can!
I really enjoy the trip, guide is brilliant, explained everything during the trip,
Yuen was an amazing guide. He made the experience that much more enjoyable. I knew nothing about whisky while my boyfriend was more experienced on the subject, and we both really enjoyed this. The two distilleries were both amazing to see, and the lunch was perfect.
2 great distillerys and a very knowledgeable tour guide, Richard.
Great tour of 2 distilleries and views of the county side. Our driver Ewan B. was awesome. He took his time teaching us different parts of the history of Scotland and his family background. If you get Ewan B. as your driver you will love your time on the day trip.
You get to see some beautiful countryside and taste some amazing scotch! Be prepared to pay a premium price for your tastes, but it is well worth it if you like Whisky. Our guide was really fun and he stopped at some castles along the way...Bonus.
Glengoyne was fabulous! Deanston was good as well. Love using Rabbies - their guides are always great and the tours run like clockwork.
The trip was fantastic. Our driver Gill was out of this world, very informative and such a sport. The tour itself was really good and I would highly recommend it .
Our driver Ian a smart, witty and a bit of a history buff he led us through Scottish history on our ride to the disterllies. Arriving at GlenGoyne first Valley of the geese we had a wonderful tour of one the oldest if not THE oldest makers of scotch in all of Scotland. He gave us plenty of opportunities for pictures and stops along the way telling us the history of the oldest cattle, castles, cafes and tales of Scotsman and wars they fought in, after lunch at a quaint and delishious cafe we were on our way to Deanston on the river Teith another informative and tasty tour. Only to stop briefly at Sterling castle for another photo op before our trip home. Highly recommend this tour and hopefully your driver will be Ian!
We had a super day with Eric N roaming around the lowlands and highlands. He was funny and entertaining. We saw some gorgeous scenery and sipped some excellent whisky. Both Glencoyne and Deanston were fascinating- different and informative. The whisky tasting was pretty amazing too. Go for the two tastes at both.
It was a fully day but thoroughly enjoyable.
I am not a scotch whiskey fan but my husband loves it and it was his dream to scotch taste in Scotland. He couldn't wait to go on this tour and it was definitely the highlight of his trip. Our tour guide was friendly told us some interesting facts the best one was the history of the kilt. Both of the distilleries that we went to were great. Loved the history. Of course my husband bought scotch and both. The day trip was worth it and our lunch stop was really nice too - we went to the Oak Room. I would absolutely recommend this trip.
Didn't know what to expect on the day, but from start to finish found this an extremely professional and we'll organised day. Organised via Viator, the bus company taking us on the Whisky Tour was Rabbies. The staff from Rabbies that we dealt with were all friendly, helpful and professional. Our Tour Guide, a young lady called Jude was outstanding. The bus was clean, comfortable and Jude kept it at a comfortable temperature at all times. She was very informative, pointing out places of interest, her story telling and historical knowledge was brilliant and will never be forgotten. We never felt rushed at any part of the day and we're given plenty time to enjoy ourselves at the Distilleries and when we stopped for lunch. I would highly recommend both Victor and Rabbies - Judesign was a credit to both companies.
Absolutely wonderful experienced. My driver Juliet is very helpful and she's able to tell all the histories and answer all of my questions. She is super nice. The trip include 2 distillery and I especially like the whisky tasting at Glengoyne, although I have to pay extra 10 pounds for 2 shorts of whisky tasting but it's worth it. The trip include a little bit of sightseeing on the way to the distillery and we have lunch at the local restaurant which was very good. I would highly recommended my friend to join this tour. it's definitely worth it.
Fantastic tour with Jude! Very knowledgeable and excellent communication skills did not talk too much, great story telling voice, incorporated music, approachable. The tour itself was lovely. Both distilleries were interesting in their own ways, Glengoyne was beautiful! Quaint town for lunch and photo opportunities during the drive to and from places. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent experience for everyone, even better whisky lovers. Jude, our driver was awesome. Thanks Jude!
It is important to note that both distillery tours are an additional fee you need to paid to the distilleries themself, but otherwise this is an excellent tour. When you do pay for the tours, I and #39;d encourage you to take the second options, as it means you and #39;ll be tasting a second whiskey per visit.
This was a great all-day activity. Not only did we get to visit two distilleries, where we learned a lot about the production of Scotch single-malt, but the drive through the countryside was beautiful. The tours and tastings are an additional expense, but the cost was nominal and certainly worth doing.
Only made one of the two distilleries, where we bought 3 bottles of excellent Highland whiskeys. Then our guide, Mike, mentioned we would see Doune Castle very close to the second distillery. For Outlander fans, that is Castle Leoch!! He dropped the people interested in the distillery there, and took the rest of us to the Castle, which we were able to tour. Bought a Fraser tartan plaid there and was immensely happy! Mike was the best, telling of Scot/Brit history most of the way
My husband is a whisky lover and enjoyed this trip very much. The driver James was very nice and instructive. The whisky that we tasted was fantastic and lunch was delicious.
Fantastic trip, and our tour guide was first rate. Definitely worth the price. As other commenters have noted, the distillery tours and tastings are not included in the price, but are fairly modest. Pay a bit extra for the three tastings!
