Perito Moreno Glacier has become a favorite Patagonian destination thanks to its impressive expanse, accessibility, and continuous movement. Your icy adventure begins with pickup at your El Calafate hotel and a scenic drive to Los Glaciares National Park, so named for the abundance of glaciers found here, including Upsala, Onelli, and Spegazzini.

Upon arrival at the park, explore the different walkways at your own pace and enjoy views of the great glacier from various angles. Watch closely to see giant slabs of ice detach from the glacier and slide into the surrounding lagoon.

Then, meet your guide for a cruise through the Rico Branch of Argentino Lake and a different perspective of this impressive glacier. Sail along the massive glacier wall and in between floating icebergs for an awe-inspiring watery perspective on this natural wonder.

After exploring the park, relax on the return drive to El Calafate, where your full-day tour concludes in the early evening.

Great independent/tour combo

Our guide was absolutely wonderful and I am still amazed at how seamlessly she transitioned between three different languages; truly a wonder. The information provided was very interesting and informative and I appreciated the stops at amazing view points to take photos. They give you a perfect amount of time at the glacier to explore the paths on your own after providing their tips on the tracks. Then you head for the boat ride which give you an entirely different perspective on the glacier which is well worth it. The crew of the boat gets you as close as safely possible and they keep turning the boat so everyone can get close. I was amazed at how long the boat stayed at the glacier. I felt that our guide was extremely warm and helpful and made us all feel welcome. She provided just enough information but didn't drown us after a long day out at the glacier. We were even provided with a discount to a local museum for the next day. I would totally recommend this company; pick up was seamless.

The glacier

The tour is truly just transportation to and from the park with a bit of background info on the hour long drive over. Bot ride is included but you pay for park entrance in addition. (You nap on the way back). Neither is very much $USD. So $99 is super pricy for what it is. M, but I did t check out how much it would be if you arrange your own rides. A day of rental card will be $USD80. Most people rate it high because it’s truly beautiful there. Paula the guide was very nice and helpful.

Great Tour Guide

Our Tour Guide, Paula was excellent. She was both knowledgable and upbeat at all times. The boat trip was a little disappointing since we only went to the South face of the glacier and not much activity.

AMAZING day tour!
Antoine B
, Jan 2020
Incredible day out from Calafate to see the Glacier and walk around this incredible natural phenomenon. Communication before was clear and we were picked up on time and joined several other tourists. Our guide was super friendly and had lots to tell us about the PM Glacier. Once there were left to wander the site for about 2 hours (it's big!) at our leisure, which was perfect. Then came the boat which was amazing! We were lucky to see three separate chunks of ice calve off the glacier and spectacularly splash into the river which, let's face it, is why we came to see it! It's incredible - don't hesitate!
