Great lodge, great hosts, very informative

Angie and Champ were both great hosts (and yes, I did enjoy the puns). The weather did not cooperate, but even though we didn’t see the Aurora, I learned so much that it really enriched my experience later in the week when the Northern Lights did put on a show. The lodge was very comfortable, and the homemade cookies were a treat.

It was an amazing experience. Watching the sky dance as aurora appeared in the sky was awesome. Ask for Angie she was a fantastic tour guide. The lodge gave you the opportunity to warm up because it gets very cold outside even with the fire pit. The lodge had wine, hot chocolate and cookies.

FIRST AURORA!!!!!

Never trust the Kp index! We saw curtains and dancing Aurora. Purples and teal showed up with the green. Simply breathtaking! For my first Northern Light viewing, the Aurora put on quite a show! Angie was a fantastic guide, I'd love to have her as a guide again.

Wonderful guide and location!

Perfect location to wait and watch for aurora! Comfortable lodge with large viewing windows or an outdoor patio option. Although the lights were not as cooperative as we hoped for- the experience was amazing. Angie is an amazing guide- informative, helpful, friendly and caring. Lodge was gorgeous- and lodge owner was formerly and welcoming. We were thrilled to see a moose on the drive back! Great trip!

Great experience!

Lexie was our guide and she was super friendly and accommodating. Our tour ended at 2 am but as we were leaving, the Aurora finally showed up and she stayed behind to take some photos for us . Even though the Aurora was really faint because of the clouds, we still enjoyed our time at the Aurora Point Lodge. There was coffee, hot chocolate, tea, cookies and even wine for the guests.

Aurora Lodge Viewing

The guide was very nice and knowledgeable; however, the tour itself was too long and frankly quite boring. The advertisement would give one the impression that this tour is quite popular. But we ended up with 3 people going on the Murphy Dome tour instead. The aurora were at best OK (not the company's fault of course), but all the extra driving around got old quickly.

The lightshow
Justina_L
, Nov 2021
Our guide was awesome and punctual in picking us up. She was careful in making sure we were safe when stepping on and off the van. Viewing it from the lodge was a great idea given it was 0 and a few degrees below through the night. We got to meet others who were also waiting for the northern lights. There were hot drinks and snacks available. The chairs that we sat on to wait were so comfortable. Most of us fell asleep at some points waiting. Guides were helpful on camera settings too!

Great Lodge

The lodge was comfortable and set up perfectly for Aurora viewing. Host Mok was so welcoming and accommodating of all his guests. Tour guide Lexi was fabulous. Even made a 10yr. Old and 13yr. Old feel like a valued member of the group.

Aurora seen!

Best experience! This was on my bucket list & after 4 snowy/cloudy nights we finally hit a clear one. It was a weak Aurora but we could still see it so that’s all that matters. The lodge is really nice & comfortable. They provided water, coffee, wine & homemade cookies. Dave our guide was really nice. Overall great time!
