What You Can Expect

Cinque Terre Semi-Private Day Trip from Florence

Explore the gorgeous Cinque Terre on a day trip from Florence!

Meet your guide and small tour group of 8 people or fewer at the Piazza della Repubblica in central Florence. Board a comfortable tour vehicle and depart for Cinque Terre, a collection of five postcard-perfect fishing hamlets that hug a rugged coastal stretch of the Italian Riviera.

Travel through Tuscany and into the Liguria region for your initial stop in the village of Manarola. Pause for fantastic photo ops of the coastline and the cerulean ocean beyond, then stroll through the narrow alleys and quaint squares of the town itself, one of the oldest in Cinque Terra. Sip a glass or two of the region's famous wines at a charming local wine bar (own expense).

Departing Manarola, meet your tour escort at a prearranged location to board your boat to Vernazza. During your scenic boat journey, sit back and view the coast gliding by with rolling hills as the backdrop.

Go ashore in Vernazza after cruising through the picturesque open harbor. Use your free time to walk around, visit the village's castle and church. Stop at one of the many waterfront restaurants for a traditional Italian lunch (own expense).

Following your time in Vernazza, climb into a tour vehicle for a drive through picturesque Corniglia before returning to your starting point.

This small group tour is a must!! Only 2 hour drive from Florence. Our guide Lorenzo was so knowledgeable and accommodating - only regret was the duration of trip, another two hours would have made this perfect! Be sure to ask about the snow in the Alps as you drive through Carrara -it's the Italian marble that is mined there- a spectacular site on the drive home !!! Loved this trip !!

Cinque Terra is spectacular and this trip was a great way to see it. Our guide Yaris was tremendous - highly commend him. The drive form Florence through the Tuscan countryside was interesting and Yaris told us of all the sights along the way. Arrival at Cinque Terra was smooth and fun. Boat ride was magnificent. The blue of the Med is simply stunning and cannot be recreated. WE were fortunate to have relatively light crowds. Yaris made us lunch reservations at a terrific place and our entire group enjoyed the day. Highly recommend this trip and this company.

What can one say about Cinque Terre...exquisitely rustic and romantic location. This trip is fantastic if you are short on time. The drive from Florence to Manarola is fantastic and you see different parts of the Italian countryside/towns. The Mercedes van they use is quite comfortable. Our guide/driver Yaris was fantastic in both his local knowledge native Florentine and his general knowledge of Italy's geography and culture. Would definitely recommend this trip and I will definitely return to Cinque Terre and spend a few nights there.

Very convenient way to tour the small cities of Cinque Terre. Although the description said four would be visited, we only managed three of the five cities. However, including a fourth would have made for an extremely long day and the experience of three of the cities was a quality one. Our guide was excellent.
