What You Can Expect

Cinque Terre Small Group Day Trip from Florence

Explore the gorgeous Cinque Terre on a day trip from Florence!

Meet your guide and small tour group of 8 people or fewer at the Piazza della Repubblica in central Florence. Board a comfortable tour vehicle and depart for Cinque Terre, a collection of five postcard-perfect fishing hamlets that hug a rugged coastal stretch of the Italian Riviera.

Travel through Tuscany and into the Liguria region for your initial stop in the village of Manarola. Pause for fantastic photo ops of the coastline and the cerulean ocean beyond, then stroll through the narrow alleys and quaint squares of the town itself, one of the oldest in Cinque Terra. Sip a glass or two of the region's famous wines at a charming local wine bar (own expense).

Departing Manarola, meet your tour escort at a prearranged location to board your boat to Vernazza. During your scenic boat journey, sit back and view the coast gliding by with rolling hills as the backdrop.

Go ashore in Vernazza after cruising through the picturesque open harbor. Use your free time to walk around, visit the village's castle and church. Stop at one of the many waterfront restaurants for a traditional Italian lunch (own expense).

Following your time in Vernazza, climb into a tour vehicle for a drive through picturesque Corniglia before returning to your starting point.

Very convenient way to tour the small cities of Cinque Terre. Although the description said four would be visited, we only managed three of the five cities. However, including a fourth would have made for an extremely long day and the experience of three of the cities was a quality one. Our guide was excellent.

Truly luvly trip to this picturesque part of the Italian coast. Small air conditioned van with 8 people and a knowledgeable, friendly guide helped to make this an experience to remember. The driver/guide drove us safely around the narrow roads and pointed out many places of interest, including a visit not on the agenda to San Bernardino. As the weather was perfect we were able to enjoy the boat ride from Manarola to Vernazza. Despite being very hot and very busy, we had an enjoyable day exploring these unique seaside towns. Although the trip is fairly expensive it nice to sit back and have comfortable transport, beautiful scenery and an experienced driver escorting us throughout the day. As a solo traveller I appreciated the organisation and the friendly company.

We had a fantastic tour from Florence to Cinque Terre. There were only 8 people in a small van which is much better for my husband to hear. Our Guide/Driver Adriano was a great driver, and very interesting and knowledgable. He gave us information all along the way about the different areas that we passed, and made the trip fun. We are both older travelers and were a bit unsure about the walking, but it turned out to be just fine. We walked down into the first village, then took a boat ride to the second village. From there we drove to another village, each time having plenty of time to walk around on our own. We throughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it to everyone.

My tour guide was the best! Funny dry sense of humor, as been with company for a long time. Great stops along the way.

Cinque Terre is absolutely beautiful and worth seeing! Felt safe with the driver on extremely dangerous roads and the guide was very knowledgeable as well.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He went out of his way to call ahead to get us a superior table at the best seafood restaurant for lunch. Due to some roads being closed due to a recent mudslide he knew convenient ways to detour so we would not lose time at our destination. Cinque Terre is a must do as it is breathtaking.

A very interesting day! The tour guide took very good care of us--I'm happy the weather was good enough for us to take the boat ride.

If you only have one day to visit, this is the way to go! Plenty of time to take all the photos you want. There's not a ton of time to explore the cities we visited 3, but there really is no way you can do that on any day trip there. The guide was very knowledgeable and taught us about the area throughout our drive.
