While it ws originally billed as cooking class on the Tuscan hills, there was a last minute change and the class was in a B and B in Florence. While we did not get to experience the Tuscan Hills Farmhouse or select produce, we did have a nice cooking class with only one other couple. We made tiramisu, pasta and eggplant parmesan all from scratch...then got to eat it for dinner. Our instructor Cynzia was very experienced and made sure we did everything to her high standards which we appreciated when we finally got to enjoy!

Overall, this was a highlight of our trip. The Chef, Cinzia was wonderful and gets very high marks. She showed us how to make home made pasta and gnocchi from scratch as well as the best meatballs i have ever eaten. We truly enjoyed our visit and felt like we left with new skills in the kitchen. Cinzia was so sweet, she really made it a special time. The only negative was that we were sold that this was going to be located on a hilltop farmhouse outside of Florence. it was not. It was actually located inside a cute little B and B on a residential street in Florence. When we called the help number on our reservation to get direction to the farmhouse, the gentleman gave us a different address closer to our hotel and said this was the meeting place to go to the farmhouse. turns out that we were the only participants and the B and B was the end destination. We were very apprehensive until Cinzia showed up. SO... if you are set on a Tuscan Farmhouse atmosphere, you may be disappointed. However, if you want a lovely evening learning how to make authentic Italian food from a real local chef, you will have a blast.

One of the best experiences we had in Florence. Our chef Cinzia was amazing and we learned so much from her. The time spent in her kitchen was thoroughly enjoyable and the the meal was delicious. We can't wait to try some of these dishes when we get back home.
