What You Can Expect

Dan Brown 'Inferno' Tour of Florence

See the door of Florence Baptistery!

Your Inferno tour will begin in central Florence, where you’ll join up with your guide. Begin with a stroll through Piazza della Signoria to visit the city’s 14th-century city hall, the Palazzo Vecchio. Inside, explore the secret passageways once used by Grand Duke Cosimo I to travel through the city discreetly, and used by Robert Langdon to flee from soldiers. You’ll also see the Hall of Geographical Maps and the plaster cast of Dante’s Death Mask, made from the famous author's face after his death.

Continue to one of Florence’s most iconic sites, the Duomo. See where Dante was reportedly baptized in front of the Baptistery and examine the Gate of Paradise that helped Langdon solve a mystery or two.

Upgrade to extend to a full-day tour, where you can follow Langdon’s trail to the Vasari Corridor and the Uffizi Gallery. Skip the line and admire masterpieces from Botticelli and Giotto before heading to the Vasari Corridor. There, inside the secret passageway, you’ll witness one of the world's largest portrait collections, and your guide will share historical highlights and stories about Dan Brown’s covert characters.

At the end of your half- or full-day tour, you’ll receive a free entrance ticket to Crypt of Santa Reparata, Opera del Duomo Museum, Giotto’s Bell Tower and Brunelleschi’s Dome, valid for same-day use.

You will also receive an interesting Florence City GuideBook to give you fresh suggestions and make your stay in Florence and Tuscany even more memorable.

Our tour guide, Francesca, was awesome! Our group was small, she was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The time flew by! We'll definitely book another tour the next time we visit.

Excellent tour. Tour office personnel were waiting to greet us outside the office. Tour started promptly by our guide. Very knowledgeable. We toured the inside of the Medici palace, then she guided us to several points of interest referenced in the book and movie. Finished with a tour of the Baptistry in front of the Duomo. Highly recommend it.

This as our first time on a guided tour and we enjoyed it greatly. It had a good balance of the Inferno novel and the history of Florance. Michael our guide was both entertaining and very knowledgeable as well as being very friendly. My only disappointment was to find that the Danti Death masks is really a Florintine fack!... The joining instructions were very helpful and clear and with the additional access within 48 hours to The Duomo and The tower as an added bonus. Would thoroughly recommend this to Dan Brown and Florance fans..

For any Dan Brown fan, this tour is a must. We saw the site of Dante's house and visited the Vecchio Palace which included the Hall of the Five Hundred, Dante's death mask and the map room. The baptistery where Robert Langdon located Dante's death mask in the book was fascinating. At the end of the tour we were issued with tickets to visit the cathedral, bell tower and museum at our leisure over the next 48 hours. The Vasari Corridor and Boboli gardens were not part of this tour but another tour covers these.

Our tour I think was extra special as we were the only 2 people on it at this time of day early start so we had our own private guide an tour - saw everything relevant in Florence to the Dan Brown book and Guila our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable she made the tour. Sarah was amazing and I had her all to myself for the entire tour one on one. I felt like I was the first tour she had ever given because her energy was contagious and fresh, so much information weaved into a remarkably memorable narrative punctuated with lots of questions on my part that received detailed and thought out answers.
