This was a great introduction to the city. I recommend this tour for your first outing upon arrival. The dinner was very casual.
Good guide Valentina and good food but in characterless venue.
We only arrived in Florence on the morning of this tour we were a little hot and frazzled but our Guide Allessandro was a very lovely young lady and had a good knowledge of Florence and in particular the area we visited. The restaurant was suitable and food and wine was great too much to eat. We enjoyed the walk in the evening and felt very safe.
Clean city, nice people , all tours started on time
Excellent introduction to Florence. Very informative guide. We had a small group so we had a lot of interaction with her. Only 4 stars because the dinner was good but not fantastic. There was a lot of food: bruschetta, lasagna (best part), pizza, roast pork with French fries (!) and tiramisu.
Good tour with an Air Conditioned bus, you also get to walk around a bit. The dinner is a group dinner so you will be seated in a table of 6. My husband and I shared our table with 4 other ladies. It can be a little awkward but we got to talk to others which was nice.
The tour was fine, the guide knowledgeable, reasonable value for the price. I was feeling a bit under the weather so only tasted the meal. Was far from the best food I've had in Italy. There was plenty of it though.
I hate rating anything negatively. Especially with this one because I adored our tour guide. This review is in no way a reflection of her, but more about the tour itself. It was at night and you could hardly see the neighborhoods and other things she was pointing out from the window because it was so dark. The highlight of the tour was the visiting the Piazzale Michelangelo at night. We had walked there previously during the earlier part of the day to experience the view in daylight and there was lots going on with a good vibe during the day, but off season in November at night it was cold. I preferred our day walk there much better than the night tour bus ride up there. We also went to Santa Maria Novella church, but again it was dark and cold and they just sort of dropped you off to look at it and take pictures, but I would have preferred to walk to it during the day and explore on my own. It was awkward. And the dinner was as described by all the other reviews, completely characterless venue. There was only one other couple on the tour and they ended up leaving dinner half way through. The food was decent, but the restaurant was completely dead and it was a little pizza joint with no character at all. Zero. None. The dinner didn't seem to match the tour. My husband and I got more dressed up thinking this was an evening tour with a romantic view from the Piazzale Michelangelo and dinner at an unique place, but there was nothing to get dressed up for. This tour could definitely be improved by changing the hours of the tour during the off season so that there's daylight during the tour and having a restaurant with more character.

Wonderful nighttime overview of the historic sites in the city with the amazing overview from the Piazzale Michelangelo. Guide was knowledgeable but had to do everything in 2 languages since the group was evenly split between English and Spanish speaking guests. OK rating due to the logistics: we didnt receive confirmation about our pick-up so we had to make our own way to the train station we were reimbursed for our taxi fare. Then the tour guide began the tour by leading us briskly to the buswe lost half of our group in the processlost 30 minutes to finding the group. Dinner was okay, not what we had hoped for our first evening in Florence I'm sure we arrived later than scheduled. Guide left us at the restaurant without any indication that she was coming backwhich she did do, however by that time some of the guests had already left. We didnt really know where we were and we told that we had to find our own way back to our lodging. Our guide offered to call a taxi for us, which was very helpful. A much longer evening than we anticipated.
I hate to give a bad review because I really liked our guide, but I think this new tour needs some work. The tour part was great, but the dinner... I found it hard to find a bad meal in Florence, but this was it. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but when we were seated they took us in to a back room and sat us all 7 total at separate tables. I really thought when I booked the tour that we would all sit together, with the guide and talk about interesting things throughout Florence. It was just very awkward, especially for the 3 solo travelers myself included. The service was awful. The staff seemed annoyed that they had to deal with us. The food was subpar at best. One of the couples got up and left after the first course. I really think that if you make a few tweaks to this tour better restaurant... shouldn't be hard to find... and maybe have the guide enjoy the meal with the group this could be a great tour.
